On the same token, the short-haired woman, might not look so great with long hair. I'd look like a tool if I had headbanger hair, likewise I'd look ridiculous if I grew out my afro. Kinda sucks being a Heinz 57 sometimes. I do apparently look good with a shaved head though, and I look decent with short hair. | |

It says so much about the man, especially if you consider that back in the old days - & by this I mean times before 1900, slaves were forcibly shorn & that really, even in the modern world, whether they realize it or not, shorn heads & scraped faces are typically demonstrations of obedience & subservience. I know that really it is what is inside the man that makes a relationship work or not, but first I need to have something I like to look at, & for me, long hair is a great place to start. And no, I don't even care if the man is balding or gray. Some of the men that I've found to be the most attractive have had long silver hair. Give me a man with long hair & facial hair any day! Now, if I could just find one of my own . . . . . . . | |

I dont base my opinion of a man on his hair, but it does get my attention. Ive known alot of arse's with long hair, but have also with short hair. In the end it depends on the man and his character. | |

But then again, I don't know if that would really work. I mean we would first have to modify the "body type" selection, because there should be more 'body types" on there to choose in my opinion starting from skinniest to heaviest. It would go alittle like this: 1- Bony (VERY skinny), 2-slender/thin, 3-Athletic, 4-average,5- Muscular ,6-curvy, 7-a few extra pounds, 8-stocky/bulky, 9-Heavyset. | |

Posted: 10/22/2007 8:12:39 AM | I've noticed that there is a stigma lately associated with men with long hair. They're either identified as "creepy", or trying to "look younger", or "hold on to their youth", or any number of negative connotations. It's odd, because most guys *I* know with long hair, grew their hair long because, well, that's how they wanted it. Not to look cool, or to hold onto the 80's . . . but just because they feel more comfortable with long hair.
Me, I grew my hair long because I ALWAYS hated how I looked with short hair. It never felt right to me. Felt . . . wrong, uncomfortable, like I was doing it to make everyone else happy. I'm 31, my hair is long, and I plan on keeping it long. Letting it grow longer, if I can. It has nothing to do with me wanting to retain my youth, or anything of that nature. I just prefer my hair long; I am more comfortable with it long.
Some men look good with long hair, others don't. Some look good with short hair, others don't. Same for women.
Honestly, if long hair is a serious turn-off for someone, and they can't even fathom approaching or talking to someone with long hair, I believe this goes beyond just a personal preference. It sort of starts delving into something more. Something a bit more deep-rooted than just a 'personal preference.' | |
