I think more people should embrace long hair instead of ragging on it. My hair is close to my ass and I'm damn proud to have it ...it really depends on the person if my hair was short then i wouldn't feel like myself. So say what you want about us long haired men because we have more fun due to our rambunctious nature :D

The length of hair throughout history has denoted caste or place...
Longer hair was almost always seen as a sign of wealth and power.
I have neither, yet I look good with it...
If you think that by having long hair you are kissing a girl... I don't know... I'll use my daddy's favorite line... sounds like a personal problem.
Shorter hair didn't really start being uniform (that right there makes me feel suspect about it) until recent times. Before that, if you had shorter hair, buzz equiv... you would probably have been a roman soldier... which, again, denotes servitude... but, a respectable one.
Hercules had long hair... and I think we can all agree that Kevin Sorbo looked better with long hair...

Even though she always says I have the nicest, softest and most taken care of hair on a dude that she's seen. I've worn short hair and It doesn't suit me I got the face and head for long hair. I got a dip on my head from an accident from years ago so I don't have the right head for shaved. It's all about if a guy gots long hair it should be clean well tooken care of. But I will agree there are some people who have long hair and its pure nasty. Curly head people if you grow it out long take care of, don't not ever comb it and all that and let it knot up and stuff thats just nasty. And just for tips how do you straiten the the back of your hair, from my ears toward my face its strait but the kinda fluffs up due to me wearing ponytails when i'm not out. | |

Some guys really suit shoulder length hair or even long hair, some don't, and I'm not too fussed as long as its neat and fairly tidy rather than looking like the hair hasn't been washed nor groomed in days. However for me, my "ideal" guy would have medium to shoulder length hair that's cut at the right places.

I even found some stock photos online I added to my PC of Polynesian men with long hair as well as Naveen Andrews, a British actor of East Indian heritage, with long dark wavy hair.....Yeah, guess I'm a sucker for long hair....I like Andre' Agasse with long hair better than his current very short style....I have dated men with short to medium length hair, but the one I never dated-he was a neighbor, had long hair for a while, and now its been short a while-for job reasons. He's still handsome, but he was a lot sexier when he had longer hair....{it is wavy/curly, and black-he's an attractive Hispanic man.} One of the men I met from POF has medium long hair, and he looks good that way, I can't see him with short hair, he's a musician, and it just looks good on him.
The thing I don't get is rock musicians with short hair and suits, hope its just a trend!:) | |

There are still a few men that are attractive with longer hair and I have nothing against men with long hair. But bald men just do it for me. Especially if they have a bunch of tattoos..... yummy! | |

It's worth having long hair just for that, even if it repulses every girl in the world. Although most just seem to want to pliatt(sp?) it.

I have been know to peruse men on the street because of their long hair (Doesn't get me any dates, though...yet)
I realize this is opening another can of worms of a topic that has beat to death, but if your a guy with what is referred to as a 'baby face', under 5', 9" and sporting a long mane, my heart starts to flutter, and I very nearly go weak. I nearly tackled a gentleman fitting that description at a neighborhood fair years ago, plus he was attached to a Anachronistic society, so he had on chain mail and was carrying a sword. Very nearly passed out looking at him. | |

Posted: 9/18/2008 12:17:38 AM | i'm the kooky one, so i usually go for a conservative looking guy (opposites attract) . however, if i liked his mind and his heart, i would overlook it. to me, i guess very long hair is effeminate and although i realize that may not be true, nonetheless, when talking "looks only", i go for a guy-guy as defined by my generation. thus, if the personality seems strong, then it makes up for it. i think it goes back to my teen years, when i had a crush on this blonde guy with a crew cut. my hair was wild and curly all over back then.
i also prefer african american men with short hair--my son, half african american and half peruvian, now looks like a dark skinned favio or whatever that italian guy's name is on tv with the very long hair. i don't like it, but apparently the younger girls do. i liked it when he had a "mushroom" or that other similar style, i think they called it a fade. with his chisled features, he's way too gorgeous that way. to me, with the long hair, he looks sloppy. but what can i say, i'm just a mom!  | |
