Okay.. I won't teasy ya.. Seriously, though you read? HAHA Okay, I would have to give ya kudos in the good taste in books.. "Catch 22" is def another one of those coherent books.. Didn't you find the comic absurd?

I personally did but at the same time this book is very well written and I think the author of the book was trying to get emotional reactions out of the readers which he def succeeded to do.. I mean there were times I would burst out laughing when I read and then there were times I felt so sad and almost in tears..it was an experience.

I would def recommend this book to all.

Cheers
F

Right, thought there wasnt a thread like this but there is so I'm posting to it even though it's been dead for a while. I think it's neat to see what everyone else is reading.

I picked up:

A Dancing Matrix: Voyages Along the Viral Frontier
Author: Robin Marantz Henig

and

Origin of Species
Author: Charles Darwin

Outlander was a good book....... a little strange at times, but it kept me interested in it.

I am currently reading:

Angels & Demons by Dan Brown - I read DaVinci first.... apparently this is the book before it.

if the movie is as good as the book, it'll be on the top ten list along with "Full Metal Jacket"

The Prince by Nicolo Machiavelli, very chilling when you consider its' implications alongside Bush and fellow cronies.

Kudos to those that finished Catch 22. I took me forever to finish it, but eventually I did.

Roy, the Outlander series is awesome , she knows her history and embellishes it wonderfully, I've read the first 4 of her series and have the others for when I get a long weekend to just read, of course as a MacKenzie maybe I'm just a wee bit prejudiced towards Scottish history as a great choice of reading material. I'm currently reading "The Last Victim" by Kevin O'Brien, having been married twice i not only believe in romance i definetly believe in murder

I recently read "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin. Pursecuted in communist Russia, his book was the basis of George Orwell's "1984"!!! It is a must read, it takes Big Brother to a whole new level!
Also loved "Les Miserables" and currently reading "Oliver Twist".

Body of Evidence by Patricia Cornwell, the manual for my car stereo (how do you change the time? - I'm still an hour ahead), and the latest issue of Cosmo. Oh, and my Financial Accounting textbook, but that's not for pleasure.

I recently finished "Padre Pio : Man of Hope" ... a decent Biography of a Priest in Italy who bore the stigmata for 50 years (during the 1900's).

Also read "The Tao of Pooh", "Kidnapped", "Nine Princes in Amber" and "The Art of War" in the last while.

Am still reading "Fingerprints of the Gods". Recommended for archeology buffs.

Just starting "Existentialism". Bit of light reading.

So many books ... so little time.
