Obviously, I haven't read past the front cover yet.

| What are you reading? Posted: 10/29/2009 10:27:54 PM | | I'm trying to get through "The Satanic Verses" but it is a tough read and thinking about going to a good sci-fi that doesn't make my brain hurt! | |

| What are you reading? Posted: 10/30/2009 5:27:32 PM | Trying to finish what was initially an interesting read and is now a tedious read:
Long Way Around by Ewan McGregor and Charly Boorman - there is a series on the telly about their motorcycle adventure.
I'm also reading : God Knows by Joseph Heller ...who also wrote Catch-22. This one is comical... laugh your pants off ...Heller's version of biblical times. Totally outrageous book so far.
Also reading: The Essential 55 by Ron Clark --- Discovering the successful student in every child. It is a great book so far... a must read for everyone in my estimation... you can find it in the library.

Doesn't get much deeper than that on a Friday night.
Party on Garth!! | |

| What are you reading? Posted: 10/31/2009 8:03:47 AM | Moby Dick- large print, illustrated version. EDIT: MobyDuck - jeepers!! Desperate times call for desperate measures... that is the only thing I haven't read in the house. Can't wait for fine-free day at the library again... but I'd probably be busy that day.
kudos to all you intellectual big-brained types. If I read a good book, however, then I don't sleep. So...read? or sleep? read? or sleep? Sleep wins at present.
EDIT: Ha Ha. Son of a u-know-what (and yes if I wanted to I could say it!) I found a way around the naughty word filter.... !!
I have the power! (sung to age of aquarius music I think)

| What are you reading? Posted: 11/5/2009 12:17:08 PM | "Sacred Pleasure" by Riane Eisler looks interesting.
When I googled MNs reference to the sacred triangle, this is the link that came up: http://www.ishtartemple.org/sacredPleasure.htm

| What are you reading? Posted: 11/5/2009 5:44:50 PM | Maybe we should start a thread on "Sacred Triangle"... ^^^
Currently reading a book by Sylvia Browne about the afterlife. Interesting accounts by people in hypnosis that tell all about what is going on in "the other side".

| What are you reading? Posted: 11/5/2009 6:38:09 PM | Lately I've been reading the lint and fuzz in my navel, using a process similar to reading tea leaves. I was hoping I might get some insight into what numbers to pick for a lottery ticket, but that proved unproductive. I have a sneaky suspicion the fuzz is too old.
I just picked up the latest edition of my favourite outdoors magazine and found quite interesting the article "Hunting Dust Bunnies with a slingshot."

| What are you reading? Posted: 11/5/2009 7:14:17 PM | Sorry Gourmand123, it must be either my Spanish coming through or too many huevos fritos. Hahaha! My daughter told me that last night I was talking in my sleep in Spanish! But then again I also count, write in my journal and make... ah, never mind.
I digress... BE have you seen the "Lint Reading for Dummies" version? It goes beyond belly button.... Muy interesante!!!

Ew. Petrified belly button fuzz.
I have been reading about peach and apricot pits and apple seeds on the internet and how much cyanide they contain. My coworker started on this topic a few minutes ago.
