Posted: 12/3/2004 12:31:05 PM | highschool.. im still in highschool.. being the oldest of the school is alwasy the funnest. because d*mn those grade 9's. who thought of such a stupid idea anyways? putting grade 9's into highschool was NOT a very good idea if you ask me.. but anywhoo..
answering the question.. i've always been just me. never a loser. never one of the popular snobs.. that you either hated or loved... I hated people that made fun of other people. I mean, do you feel that low about yourself that you have to make fun of other people just to feel better about yourself? I found myself always as more of a leader. everyone kinda crowded around me.. even when i didnt want to be around anyone. getting away from gossip was probably the toughest things. girls are terrible for backstabbing and i never wanted to be apart of it. i watched all my friends get into their little b*tch fights and i was always stuck in the middle of it. i dont know when girls in highschool will ever learn to grow up. which is why.. pretty much all of my life.. i had more guy friends than girl friends.. im very athletic and have been my whole life. you would always find me out playing soccer or baseball with the guys and all my girlfriends would be sitting on the sidelines telling eachother how much of a crush they have on so and so.. | |

Posted: 12/3/2004 12:35:01 PM | also.. i started getting into the wrong crowds in highschool.. and skipping school to go get high or do whatever.. was always more important than class. yeah right. which leads to the explanation of why im still currently in highschool. this year.. i will have made more credits than i did in grades 10 and 11. how pathetic is that?
..having a 9 year old neice that looks up to me is a kick in the chins aswell.. shes already trying to turn into me in her own little ways.. and id do anything to make sure she doesnt turn out into the little devil i became when jr. high hit. | |

But during school I would either be in the computer center typing out a program or in the basement of the science building playing DnD with all my nerd buds. I had very few girl friends. Didn’t find a need for them back then. I would just ask one out for a Friday night and it would be back to my normal sheltered self after that. (NO! It wasn’t a one night stand. I never had sex until after high school.) | |

By my Junior year I highly expanded my social traits and felt so much better. I regret not starting conversation with those I really liked. I'm still alone as I've always been but happy and maybe can be happier and help another so that's why I seek for more friends and a Girlfriend. | |

Posted: 12/12/2004 7:16:29 PM | I went to four HS and transferred 5 times (I went to the same one twice) so I was never really well-adjusted, but in the end, I got through in one piece.
My father was an abusive one...who beat me up and told me I was fat (I was 5'2" and 120 lbs). I became suicidal and turned to alcohol and drugs for numbness. I hung out with the "goth kids," scorned all forms of authority, and was very sarcastic.
But it wasn't all bad; I had music, a book of songs and poems I wrote, a couple of great friends, a few party invitations, and I produced some of my best artwork to date. I also had a boy who loved me and told me I was special.
I had a worse time than some, better time than others. I can look back without much regret. | |

I was the one sitting up near the front of the class so I could actually learn something. I was the one who was often ignored as if I was nothing more than part of the background. I was the one that still helped others out with their understanding of the work, even though I knew I would get nothing out of the deal. I was a loner.
To sum it up, I was a younger version of who I am now. | |

I got along with everyone, the jocks, cheerleaders, preps, geeks, nerds, losers, punks, skaters, hicks, band geeks/nerds, prissy choir chicks, the cool crowd, you name it I know em and was friends with them. I guess that is why I get along with almost everyone that I meet! I was into soccer, track, band, choir, guitar, piano, drumline, swimming, and I got good grades at that, my average GPA throughout highschool was a 3.5. Enough said about highschool though! Life is here and now, take hold of this day, and actually do something with it!!!  | |

Posted: 3/31/2006 9:03:05 AM | | In highschool, I was the "jock" in one sense that I played every sport and did well in all of them...especially Football, was the male athlete of the year a couple of times, but the oddity was that I was shy and quiet but got along with everyone. Did well in school and got academic scholarships to university here in Canada. All in all just your average guy. | |

Posted: 3/31/2006 9:18:00 AM | I was one of those people that got along with almost everyone. There were a few people I never really hung around with that much; I think there were only about 5 or 6 of them maybe, out of a class of 73.
I played a LOT of soccer too; played from grade 2-10, then again in grade 12. I was always the same position though; right defence. Every single year...bleh. High school wasn't a bad time for me though. It was fairly amusing and if I had to do it again, I would only change one or two things. | |

One girl told me how her boyfriend wanted to go all the way WITHOUT a condom....because he wanted her to feel the 'real' thing. I told her do that -- and get REAL pregnant! | |

Posted: 3/31/2006 4:52:41 PM | I was a total truant in high school. I did maybe one or two homework assignments. I never studied. I hated being there and was pretty anti-social. So weird that now I get along great with most people and am really dedicated to my job.
I dropped out of high school and got my equivalency. I've taken several community college courses and finally went back a couple years ago part-time and upgraded to an academic level.
I partied a lot but even back then, I enjoyed going to a party and hanging with people but didn't really enjoy doing it on a regular basis. I'd rather be doing some kind of activity that requires thought. | |

Skipped a lot of classes but was surprisingly good at writing essays and secretly liked Shakespeare. They put me in the gifted program where I did absolutely nothing but played video games. | |

I had long hair and was pretty much into the same things I am into now. I don't think I've changed much aside from being more mature and not letting people bother me as much. I used to get so easily annoyed with other people back then. I was always mad at someone. Now I let things slide more.
I played a lot of video game back then too.
I think I had more friends back then too. Now I only have acquaintances and am somewhat of a loner. | |

Posted: 4/1/2006 7:03:12 AM | | When they finally let me in (first day of school I was already kicked out due to my junior high record, didn't even get a class list or anything, guess that was their idea of a pre emtive strike LOL) I was a 4.0 student that ran with the wild kids. Granted, I was pretty quiet verbally, comparatively speaking, but any time anyone started up with one of my friends, I was the one who had to grind them into the pavement. I also did all the homework, got certain ones to class often enough to graduate...Guess I was their caretaker and clean up crew, as long as none of them ticked me off LOL Once we got home, I was the cook too. Very few of us had "real" parents, so it was a bunch of kids pretty much fending for themselves, not to mention regulating themselves, in a very bad part of town. We stuck together for survival reasons as much as anything else. | |
