Posted: 3/6/2006 11:46:46 AM | I have noticed that everyone talks about a central place for all to meet. I don't want to sound negative here but I must say... I like where I live, and have no interest in moving. Moving? Yes. What happens if I drive to Columbus (over 2 hours away) and meet someone from there or worse, even further? I am not going to move! I would not expect them to either. And who wants the long distance thing? Maybe what we should do is have more than one. That way it is easier to plan, it isn't so much of a compromise, and we all have a better chance of finding what we are looking for.

Nope. It looked like there was only going to be myself and one other guy showing up, so I decided to not drive 3 hours to (centrally located) Columbus.

Posted: 4/1/2006 7:53:30 AM | BTW, back when I suggested a columbus get together, and set it up, it wasn't because I expected people to hook up there, it was because it is centrally located in Ohio. as a meeting place. I would not drive to cincy for a get together, it's 300+ miles from me. Southpoint is even farther. In columbus, the most (I would assume) that anyone would have to drive is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I used to be very active in a chat room that has parties all the time, all over the state, and it's easiest and fairest to do Columbus. If I were going to meet an individual, I would drive to wherever she was. But, for a general get together, everyone should give a little effort. Also, the get together doesn't have to be at a bar, like I suggested. That's just how we did it. A bar, at or near hotels, so no one has to take a chance driving while intoxicated.
Hell, I'd love to have a get together in Cleveland, it's only 70 miles. There was a thread for a meeting there, too (it died, like all the rest). Everyone says they want to meet someone, but, when given the chance, everyone seems to want to hide behind their computers. | |

Posted: 4/3/2006 5:44:37 PM | Today is April 3 and I am involved with putting together a BBW/Chat Party. It can be open to anyone if folks are still interested!!
It is in Cleveland the 21-23 of July. We will be staying at the EconoLodge on Lorain Road in North Olmstead. We will be having the 'party' at a little local bar/restaurant called Bonnie's. It is not two blocks away from the motel. A meet and greet is Friday night at 6 p.m. at Bonnie's, the owner is giving us some drink specials as well as some food specials. (Neither the food or drinks are very expensive!)
Saturday evening will be our "PARTY" at about 6 p.m. We are having a Hawaiian/Luau theme so please come in appropriate attire (NOT necessary, just thought it would be fun!!)
So come to the party and get LEID!!!

I will be in Columbus on April 22nd, going to the Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert. Then a little partying downtown afterwards, and of course staying with friends. No no no drinking and driving for this chick.
I live 2 hours East of it and every time I go there, I tend to run into some of the same people at different places. So Columbus is not the big scary town everyone makes it out to be.
Whiskey**** on Thursday nights in the summer is fun, HARLEY cruise in's. Last year, one night there were over 1000 bikes there.
Victory's downtown has a patio that is open in the summer. The brickyard is fun. And if you have never been to Red, White and BOOM you need to go !!!

I post in forums on another site & we set up a *Get Together* in a matter of a couple of months. About 20 of us met in Michigan...about a 5 hr drive for me...Some flew in from as far as California.
The 3 day weekend went very fast with a lot of fun.
