Posted: 11/23/2006 7:00:27 PM | now i don't know if it was just timing but I swapped over to my other laptop running W2K with Opera and everything was cool - checked the other XP with IE6 and still no images, cleaned all cache and cookies , rebooted and XP/IE6 ok now .....

Go back to Message #1 and ensure your pictures are first saved to your hard drive or some other media, like a CD ROM or a USB Storage device etc., in the formats and file size mentioned, then follow the directions.

you need to save the pic taken from the webcam to your hard drive first, record the location (file directory) of where you saved it, then follow the instructions below when you are at your Pic Upload Page.
The following instructions can be found by clicking on the HELP link at the top of your page.
How do I submit a picture?
Login to plentyoffish.com, and click on ‘Images’ near the top of the page. Click the ‘Browse’ button in order to find your image on your disk/computer. Once you’ve selected the image you have the option of having it appear on your profile publicly or privately – you can select this in the drop down menu. Next, click on ‘Upload New Image’ and the process is done. If the image is approved it will appear on your profile within 24 hours. If you don't have a picture on your computer and don't have a digital camera, go to a store like Kinko's and have them scan in a picture for you. If your images are fine, you may have attempted to upload when our server was too busy. Please try uploading your images again at different times of the day - if it still doesn't work please contact us.

The limit used to be 16, those who had 8+ images when the limit changed were allowed to keep their images.
However, if they want to upload new images, they have to delete images until they have less than 8. | |

How could i send a picture from my cell phone to the computer so that my picture would show on my profile.
I'm assuming all cell phones will act pretty much the same way.
Set up an email contact (your private email) in your cell phone's directory.
View the pic in your cell phone, there should be an option amongst the menu selections available to send it. When you locate that option, it will ask you to select an email contact from your phone's directory. Follow the rest of the instructions on your cell to send it.
Failing that, go to your cell provider's web page - there should be instructions there as well.
Once you've received it in your email as an attachment, save it to your hard drive and then follow the directions on POF to upload it - see message #1 of this thread. | |

do the images contain any nudity or offensive material?
are the images cartoons, celebrities, web pics, pictures not of you?
are 4 MB or less?
do you get to the point where you have pointed to an actual file name on your drive?
what happens exactly when you click the upload button?
