| Image Problems Posted: 1/11/2007 9:43:40 AM | edit: oops. I'm always too slow anymore. Old age I reckon. Sorry.
Use any photo editing software to save it as a JPEG. Use the same software to reduce the size (if necessary) to under 4 MB. Save your image to any folder on your pc. Sign into mail and go to Images. Click browse and select the proper file from the folder that it was saved in. Click upload.

^^^^ You've already uploaded the same pic twice now - what seems to be the exact problem? Is it timing out?

| Image Problems Posted: 1/15/2007 5:12:58 PM | I've just scanned through the 16 pages of "image problem" questions and find that the question of error messages, being directed here, and NEVER getting an answer appears to have been going on for at least 2 years.
There's the pat response about YOU doing something wrong (like trying to upload an unacceptable format or content), but never an explanation about the problems the website has.
Mine has the additional message about re-logging in, but so far that hasn't cured anything either.
I'd be cool with.."Oh yeah. That happens once in a while when .. bla bla..", but so far no one in admin seems to want to take responsibility.

| Image Problems Posted: 1/17/2007 6:52:14 AM | | Do you have the file open on your computer? I.e. for editiing purposes? | |

| Image Problems Posted: 1/17/2007 8:13:35 AM | I've just scanned through the 16 pages of "image problem" questions and find that the question of error messages, being directed here, and NEVER getting an answer appears to have been going on for at least 2 years. well that's not too bad considering 1.2 million users
There's the pat response about YOU doing something wrong (like trying to upload an unacceptable format or content), but never an explanation about the problems the website has. well it is a fairly straight forward upload exercise, stay within the size, format and content and you should be fine as can be attested to by probably upwards of 95% of the total user base
Mine has the additional message about re-logging in, but so far that hasn't cured anything either. you seem to have images up and loaded, and you haven't detailed where in the process you're stalling other than to say the system is telling you, you need to login again as additional message, what was the other message?
-perhaps you're connection is slow and the file is too large -you're doing this at peak net time -various network traffic problems prior to hitting our site -try at various times during the day when the kids are in school and there's less net traffic -etc
you haven't been specific and you haven't told us what you've tried
I'd be cool with.."Oh yeah. That happens once in a while when .. bla bla..", but so far no one in admin seems to want to take responsibility.
one admin running the tech site, handful of mods answering to 1.2 million users - queue up!
PS. this happens once in a while ...

| Image Problems Posted: 1/17/2007 11:27:00 AM | Problem #1: Photos have disappeared. I tried re-uploading with no success.
Content: Falls within PoF's guidelines File type: jpg Average size: 25-35 kb
Glich or Access Denial? I am confused.
Problem #2: Image 2 is cropped?
Dimensions: All of my images have the same dimensions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

| Image Problems Posted: 1/17/2007 12:43:59 PM | | I do not agree with this decision, but also I realize it is beyond my control. Will I be notified when I am able to upload again? I will try to tone down the 'jokes' from here on. | |

Will I be notified when I am able to upload again?
No, the upload privilege comes back, how; is proprietary to the site owner.
It's all automated, pic vetting is done by the site users, ...the only "Rate Pictures" feature that has any real purpose.
