Honestly ive had the same problem im sure this is an easy fix, they should just go back to the original or older ways of uploading...no flash BS..... ive tried EVERYTHING, even making and saving my pics to the correct perameters as someone just previously said. and the stupid page just keeps directing me on and on to the SAME page over n over with the SAME scroll down options of "why its not working"..... more help that that is needed.

I tried to upload a new picture using your new system and my computer froze. Now, even though I logged out and then back in, it won't let me upload a picture no matter what I do. Something needs to be reset! Thanks, Jon

Same thing here, joined and can't upload a single picture no matter how big or small it is

What file formats are you using? If correct, have you tried uploading at a different time of day?

how do i put pictures on here im on my cellphone

Depending on what cell phone you're using and if it supports flash, you would upload them via your mobile browser the same as on a desktop. If you're using the POF app, then follow the directions through the app on the images page. If neither options fit your situation, you'll ahve to upload them through a lap or desktop.

If you're still unsure - email mobile@pof.com, they should be much better equipped to help you.

Image Problems

I have been trying to upload a photo from my cell phone every since I joined the site. Someone please help. I lack experience with this type of thing; and every time I get to the point of trying to retrieve the photo from my phone, which I've connected to my hard drive, the window is not recognizing the "file". I have no clue where to go from here. Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

I can't upload any photos, I think it's a site problem rather than the images I'm trying to upload.

Does anyone know if it's expected to be fixed soon?

No - email csr@pof.com as post #1 directs.

Nevermind, got it taken care of.

To nay one else that gets this error or has a general problem uploading:

It's NOT the uploader it seems to me to be a bandwidth issue, with all these people online and connecting to their servers it makes sense for things to time out or have a connection reset.

Think of bandwidth like a funnel with liquid being poured in. We as users are the liquid and the size of the funnel reflects the available amount of data that can be passed through. Uploading pics pour quite a bit of liquid into the funnel and if the funnel isn't big enough to filter through all the data from EVERY other user then the computer gives up and has to wait until there's some available space to send the data through.

Like I said this is what seems to be the problem from my perspective, the mods can denounce this info as they see fit. Hope this helps ya'll understand a wee bit. Sorry if I'm completely off.

i cannot upload an image for my profile. i am trying to up load from my desktop image. i have a macbook pro runningosX10.6.8

The mechanics of uploading a file from a MAC should not be any different - simply ensure that the file you are pointing to, is a valid picture format and that it meets the site requirements. Read the beginning of this thread for those requirements.

Picture deleted but dont know why?
Posted: 11/1/2011 11:30:08 AM
My profile pic was reported as unacceptable & deleted- but it showed my face, was just me sitting at a bench- not a cartoon, a drawing, an animal etc etc...

Why did this happen- I cant load it back up now?

Thanks!

i had 6 fotos removed from my profile. two shots were headless but not naked however i will accept the removal of those shot.

the other photos were not naked .. they showed no exposed body parts and werent even bikini shots. they clearly showed my face and no way there was anything wrong with the pix.

i want you to explain to me why they were removed and why my uploading priveledges were removed. this is a joke... a male user didnt like me saying no to him... so he sent me a msg saying he was gonna report my pix and get me kicked off the site. next dau mu pix were banned/

been on this site 2 years n am really stumped bu your removal of my face pix.
