Posted: 2/10/2007 5:05:58 PM | I have a Pentax Optio S4 digital camera. The software that comes with the camera and installed on my Pentium (Windows 98 version) labels each digital image "impg". This does not conform with any of the labels you list. I have tried to load an image several times and the bar at the bottom of the screen show the digits are being transmitted. However, when the bar is completely blue, the internet connection shows transmission continues to occur but nothing seems to have been completed.
I notice you cite a 24 hour delay prior to putting up photos so you can check for nudity, etc.
The question I have is did you receive my images?
Is their non appearance the result of your 24 hour delay or my transmission being unsuccessful due to the incorrect label?
What do you recommend?

Suggest try saving the images as jpg, i believe your camera came with ACDSee as the image editing software , there should be preferences/settings for saving the images in a variety of formats, jpg being one.
if you don't want to play around with the software, just use Windows Explorer to view your camera as a USB mass storage device as another drive letter in the directory structure and then copy/cut - paste the jpg images from your camera directly to a directory of your choice onto your hard drive. Try uploading in that format first.
I can't determine if Admin has any other file formats, or if the images have reached the.
Start with this ...and then let us know.

Hi MODERATOR...I'm wondering if you could comment? About 11 days ago I had my Browser button removed, I read your comment indicating that if I were to put in some time approving/rejecting images as a penance that I might get my browser back . It worked and I am thankful. It came back within twenty four hours...Since then I have had a number of emails asking for help. Others are trying the same approach as I did without results. I put in about 4.5 hours compared to an average of 7 hours for the callers. I checked out their profiles and came to the conclusion that they are better folk than I. I would be proud to be compared to them. What’s up? I'm feeling as though I misled them or worse still, I am being perceived as a goody two shoes. The reality is I am a miserable SOB.
Maybe things have changed since I was allowed back. The issue is: Not knowing how long it is going to take. A hint would be greatly appreciated. HELP HELP HELP
This is why I said "might", I don't know if this will work for everybody.

I have never posted any with nudity or out of the guidelines for the profile pics.Now i am without a browse button the last few weeks and down to 6 pics.Took one off thinkin it would come back, no go, then another and still no go ? I DO understand that I broke a rule and have certainly learned my lesson to follow guidelines. It has been over 30 days since I lost the upload privilege and I am wondering if I will ever get it back or is my only option to delete my profile and sign up again? | |

Posted: 2/22/2007 6:23:53 AM | I was having a problem today uploading too, having been able to upload in past with no problem, then I reaized I used IE browswer before to do it, this time I was using netscape and keep getting that error. I switched to the IE browser and it uploaded with no problem.
Perhaps browser issues? | |

Sorry rob300 as I do not see how I even fell into the category as a 'worst offender'. The non-person photo wasn't even showing on my profile. I had it in hidden mode and was waiting for Valentines to use it as my main photo for that day.
The thought of rating photos for hours on end to get upload privilege back makes me cross-eyed. No thank you !! I'd rather either wait out my revoked time or delete profile and begin anew. | |
