| FAQ - Profile Image Problems / Instructions to Upload
Posted: 5/3/2007 5:05:13 AM | hi i am trying to add some pics to my profile and when i browse it tell me that it can't identify what kind of image i want to upload...x/zip compressed......
i would like some help with this so i can add my pics. thanks

There is no nudity in the pic, the pic is of me and no one else, it was scanned on my own scanner saved to my desktop as a JPG and uploaded to my profile. However, I upload it and it will be on my profile for sometimes ten minutes to hours and then it suddenly disappears with no red X remaining where it was. I keep having to upload it, this is a really frustrating problem. I mailed the exact pic to the MOD and he said there was absolutly nothing wrong with it, can someone please help with this. | |

Posted: 5/6/2007 5:05:43 AM | I am having trouble with images too. I am able to upload them to your server just fine. When I check attach it to a message, the recipient gets the text but not the picture. I have my picture saved as a private image. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
I see the picture attached in my copy of the sent message but I am the only one who can see it and I already know what I look like. Please help! | |

I have deleted all my images in the hopes that my browse function would come back but this did not work either. I would like to update my photos. Please help. | |

Posted: 5/10/2007 11:41:19 AM | I have to change my pic, it is rotten. No matter what I do though, the pic will not display properly. The current one is off to one side and clipped at the top. I just did a better one and just get my right leg showing. OK, it's a reasonably nice leg, but not the pic I wanted. I tried changing different sizes and it went horribly pixelated.
My question is, what resolution is best to use? I looked at some pics which seemed to decent detail and one was 188x250 at 96 dpi. So I changed it to that, it still trimmed the top and side off and was also badly pixelated.
Please advise.

Try uploading a BMP instead of a JPG (convert), something less than 1 MB, ie. 800 x 600 is good.
I wouldn't go less than 640 x 480, as that will, to some minor Degree, affect the Quality of the uploaded Image.

Posted: 5/17/2007 7:39:09 PM | I am new to this web cam thing and I tried saving some pictures that I took, and I saved them but for the life of me I do not know where they went or how to retrieve them off my computer.
I am used to the ones that come in an email that you save and it asks where you want to save or just puts them into my pictures file which is easy to find.
Any ideas for the coputer challenged. | |
