Posted: 6/26/2007 7:45:42 AM | If it's not the picture I see on your thumbnail. The problem could be that the photo is to large. You could try to put the picture into a program on your computer and make it smaller.
This thread is full of information that can assist you. I recommend reading as much of this thread as you can. Then if you are still having a problem, repost the steps you are taking and explain where the 'error' kicks in. | |

First of all follow the Instructions here:
| 1. | Start AOL or Compuserve. |
| 2. | Use the Settings or Access Menu to press < Preferences >. |
| 3. | Select < Internet Properties > (WWW) or WWW. |
| 4. | On the < Web Graphics > Tab, check: "Never compress Graphics" and press < Apply >. |
| 5. | Select the < General > Tab. |
| 6. | Delete the Temporary Internet Files. |
| 7. | Press < OK > if you are prompted to confirm the Deletion. |
AOL crunches your Image into a Non-Standard Compression Algorithm, which may cause the POF Upload Recompression Filter to cough.

Any more Infos, such as what Problem you may be having?
I don't know if it's the same issue, but last weekend I had trouble uploading an image. There was nothing wrong with the image but the first two tries gave the standard generic error message. Before the third try I logged out and back in real quick and was able to get the upload to work.
It would really help if the error message was more specific. The way it is right now nobody can tell with the upload failed and that's probably why you get so many confused users posting here. | |

I agree, unfortunately there are too many Reasons, too many Variables to make that sort of Thing work. Best to read up on all the applicable Links I posted above.

^^^ Remove all your Pics, delete your Cookies and Temporary Internet Files, re-boot ... and try again.
Since I've tried everything else, I thought I'd throw this idea in the mix, its still not working. My picture dilemma has gone from bad to disastrously futile. | |
