| Image Problems Posted: 7/17/2007 2:57:45 AM | | i wish to post pictures on my profile that are dimensioned correctly, ie the right height and width when showing large, what are these please for both landscape and portrait. note, i do not mean the file size which i already know the answer too. i am attempting to avoid the bad auto resizing that can ruin an image | |

| Image Problems Posted: 7/17/2007 4:00:09 AM | i found that using an image size of 300 by 225 in your profile pictures works without obvious signs of distortion. i didnt try a landscape but have to presume this would be the same. i hope this of assistance to others who have been asking. Please note the tiny preview will probably still distort a bit, the pop up window when you hold the cursor on the preview looks fine. | |

You only need to worry about the Dimension of your Thumbnail Images, otherwise the expanded full size of your Images, regardless of size, will not be proportionally altered.
300 Pixels wide by 299 Pixels high will produce ZERO Distortion of your Thumbnails.

| Image Problems Posted: 7/19/2007 12:03:38 AM | | I loaded a picture from the Journal World online, but it is a picture of me, I can prove it (I was interviewed on the street). It's the only digital picture of me. Does that remove all my picture downloading privileges? | |

| Image Problems Posted: 7/26/2007 1:39:35 PM | how do i do it upload an image to POF?
Answer: the same way you uploaded the picture that is displayed in your profile.
If you don't recall how you did it - go back to the first post in this thread - click here UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
and this time, do read what is written on the Image Upload page as to what is valid and what is not. If you don't, you will lose your picture upload rights. | |

| Image Problems Posted: 7/30/2007 12:28:33 PM | | whenever i deselect my main pic (ie so that my images are only viewable from inside my profile) and press update settings, it automatically re-selects a picture for my main pic. this has only been happening since today. any help please? | |
|
| Image Problems Posted: 7/30/2007 12:46:08 PM | it automatically re-selects a picture for my main pic. Go to Images, de-select all Image Check-boxes, then hit < Update Image Settings > .
Then just re-select what you would like to show or not show on your Profile, and again, click the < Update Image Settings > Button.

| photos Posted: 7/30/2007 2:03:27 PM | admin have just written to me to tell me that my photo should be a head shot, i can understnad that but there are much worse photos on here that i have seen since i have been a member on and off for the last 3 years.
i also understand that it has to be a face shot - but a lot of people do have themselves on their photos - but they are so far away from the camera that you cant see their face - so where do you draw the line???
the are photos of pets, people in motorcycle helmets, people sking - you cant see their faces.
and what about people who dont have a photo at all.
i have had great feedback from my photo - it has made many a man smile - and whilst being a little saucy - it is not exactly rude.
also - i think that it is much more worrying when people put photos on of them with children. a lot of my friends - male and female are on this site and we allthink that is worse - especially with all the bad things that go on with children and the internet.
anyway - i hope that you appreciate my comments - as i dont wish to offend - i just like to state a valid point

EDIT i managed to get it working by first hiding my profile, then unchecking all of the boxes, then saving it. then i checked the boxes i wanted, saved it then un-hid my profile seems to be working fine.

| PICS: Profile Image Problems / Instructions to Upload Posted: 8/5/2007 11:09:18 PM | My photos disappeared after being on site for a year or more. I tried to upload them again along with more and the prompts won't show to allow me to upload. It takes me to the instructional page and the troubleshooting page.

| PICS: Profile Image Problems / Instructions to Upload Posted: 8/11/2007 10:38:46 AM | Hi
I've uploaded 4 images but the one I want to use as my main images has been chopped in half. All the images are 600 x X pixels where X is a smaller dimension and and all under 150k. Ive tried stripping out the EXIF data but that makes no difference.
Wheres the other half of my head?
