| Does your screen name fit your personality? Posted: 6/11/2006 11:10:27 AM | | I was given the Nickname Lobo Black when I worked in Personal Protection. It fits. I went to a pow-wow in Colorado once and was told that my spirit guide was the wolf. /shrug. Seemed to be pretty apparent. | |

There were too many guys with the name Nick, so in order to differentiate us a few people came up with some nicknames. We had Nick, Mr Nick, The Nick, Mr The, and myself, Teh Nick. Needless to say, there were too many damn Nicks.

| Does your screen name fit your personality? Posted: 7/9/2006 2:10:44 PM | My screen name not only fits my personality, but also my chosen career path. Back in the late 50's, 60's and to some extent the 70's, greasemonkey was a term of endearment and awe. Now, I guess it means something totally different. Greasemonkey: Mechanic or gearhead. I just changed the spelling around a bit to make it sound a little more funny. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it when someone refers to me as a greasemunky, it gives me more pride to add to the my occupation and my love of the hot rods that I truly love to build and race. Being a mechanic ROCKS! | |

I thought it was funny but I also love pines, firs and cedars. I think my favorite tree is the Ponderosa pine. Lots of them near where I grew up. I think they're beautiful. I do tend to long for a special guy when he's not around but I don't literally bawl!

Yes, it fits me in more ways than one. The one that gave me the idea was my cabin. It was built back in the early 70's when hippies and their families moved up here to Oregon. This cabin was built by the elders who were very intelligent and well educated. The name on the shingle is "Sylvantares". I saw the former owner not to long ago and she was so excited by my choice in "onscreen names" that she began to call the cabin Woodstar. She said it was always so difficult to explain to people what the name meant. She liked my version better.
Those who know me would go on to say how much the name fits me personally. I leave it to you and any readers to decide if a Woodstar would be or could be or should be fairly nice to claim they have seen and were befriended by. Peace

FAR OUT!
Those who know me really know I'm into trains. That having been said, a "GP38-2" is a particular 4 axle diesel locomotive built by EMD in the mid-late 80's.

| Does your screen name fit your personality? Posted: 4/14/2007 11:25:26 PM | Actually, when I first got here, I wasn't planning on staying, I just wanted to look at what a dating site was like. I didn't want to use my usual screen name, it's all over the internet by now, so I grabbed one given to me on another forum (wildflower) and slapped on kitten because I'm cat crazy, which is obvious if you read my profile. I wouldn't have used kitten if I'd known I'd stick around, I'm no wide eyed wonder at my age. Now, having written that, I DO pretty much still look at the world that way, so I guess in that context it represents me quite well. So when I started typing I was going to say, no, it didn't fit me that well, but evidently my subconcious was working harder than I realized. It does that a lot. Probably means I should be unconcious more often.
Facinating thread! | |

| Does your screen name fit your personality? Posted: 4/16/2007 6:39:04 PM | Hi,
Eddie Spaghetti, what my two older sisters called me. I was a head taller than kids a couple years older than me and I was very skinny and loved eating spaghetti.
I didn’t choose this screen name as I would prefer Eddie Kick Butt, or EKB. Anyone that hates Cancer and has raised monies to fight might be able to relate. Kicking the Butts out of here basically. I have ridden some nice long bike rides. Around Mt. St. Helen’s a couple of times, I think 3 or 4 times, and once up to the top to view into the crater and then back down. Tough rides, and that was helpful as it made you think about the people fighting Cancer themselves and the pains they go through, and death.
Eddie Boy might have been another one, I was called this growing up in Hawaii. It’s a nice name. I haven’t tried this on here yet. EKB is already used by someone, and Eddie Kick Butt wasn’t going to work, I don’t know why.
I do know that Eddie Spaghetti doesn’t really fit me, though it isn’t a bad name. I won’t put up my last name with my first name as who knows what that might lead too.
I need to work on this more, my screen name.
I am jolly, funny, and serious. I laugh and make corny jokes sometimes, and am witty too. I have been known to be charming, friendly, protective, and nice. I have also been known to be hard to handle when I defend myself. I can dedicate myself to something and carry it through. I am mellow and patient and understanding. I can also be dimwitted and boisterous with out knowing it till it is pointed out to me. I can be a big teddy bear when needed. I used to love dancing when I had good legs, may still love it if I would only get out and do it. So many points of view on ones self, easy to do, too easy.
Time to think and work on this screen name thing, or what ever it is called.
I wonder if I change it will anything I have posted change with that too?
Have fun All!

| Does your screen name fit your personality? Posted: 4/27/2007 12:39:38 AM | Mine, as I see some others here, was based on a D+D character back when I was young. When I got online, I used it a lot. Then, someone made a computer program named Zoggy, and I changed my online name to zoggypdx to clarify. While I don't live in Portland anymore, I'm close enough that I don't feel the need to change the "pdx."
Fits me? Eh. But it doesn't *not* fit me, and it's easier to remember that a random string of characters. Quite a few people know me by Zoggy anymore.
Peace, Zoggy | |

| Does your screen name fit your personality? Posted: 5/4/2007 12:11:50 AM | My name describes my passion for RX-7's. I own that is in the process of being great. I put the number on the end to signify the age that I started using that nick. The story in my profile is part of the family that I want to be in and kind of shows what type of person I plan on being like, even though I would be like that in a heartbeat right now. So check out my profile and tell me what you think. | |

The Sterling part comes from my very first horse Sterling Wonder but everyone thinks it's because I have a "sterling" personality... I guess it fits LOL

| Does your screen name fit your personality? Posted: 6/6/2007 11:59:29 PM | In a word...yes! That's why I chose it; because it fits my personality...it is who I am.
It's all about advertising, right? It's the hook that gets people interested in what you have. Not too dissimilar to comedy...for comedy to be effective there has to be an element of truth in it, right? Or, the joke isn't funny. Well, the same with the screen name...if there isn't an element of truth to the name then it's just some letters thrown together that don't mean anything.
Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.
