Two to be exact...the problem was that one although we maintain a friendship after she became serious with someone else i fell out of the picture. Which is better otherwise it is too weird. And the other was a oops, bad bad mistake having anything with her. She kept calling me at 4 am on a work night when i got up at 8 am. It started affecting my job. I am no prude but i guess i cannot get enthused at 4 am on a worknight. I eventually told her to get lost and got rid of that creepy girl. Lesson learned i think i like it better if i am in a committed relationship. | |

I'm busy most of time so it worked well.
With relationships, you generally have to put in more time than I have, so with friends with benefits, i was able to have companionship with benefits, with no expectations. Meaning they didnt expect to see me or talk to me each day.
Both have to agree to it from the start, If one was or is looking for a relationship, even tho they say they are fine with Friend with benefits, you are asking for trouble. But is nice for those of us who dont like to sleep around and dont have the time. As long as both also are good enough to tell the other person if they get involved with another sexually or emotionally. | |

I dont think they're a bad idea. But definately not how i want to spend the rest of my life, one booty call to the other. But while I'm young and cute...

One, we tried dating, didnt work, tried being friends and it was even worse, but when we are together we cant keep our hands off one another. But its nice because you can have the feeling of companionship without having to put all the effort required into a relationship. Ultimately though, I would like a LTR, but some are just too cute to push away.  | |

Posted: 9/20/2005 3:55:20 AM | Wellllllllll... someone once put forth the scenario that IF you loved playing tennis or golf and you were pretty good at playing tennis or golf you would get together with a friend from time to time to enjoy golf or tennis with that friend. There would not be a commitment to that person other than participating in an activity that you and the friend both enjoyed and playing tennis or golf was mutually satisfying.
Now... what if "tennis or golf" was sex.... not saying this is MY theory BUT for some people that might be accepatble between friends... with benefits.

we've become good friends, and havn't done the deed yet , but i dont think either one of us is going to wait to much longer.
theres an attraction there but i just dont think we'd make good b/f g/f, much better to keep it this way | |
