inout,

I salute everyone who enlisted in the military, and I thank all of you for what you did/do for our country.

But, it's hard to be grateful of someone who is completely ungrateful for anything in their life.

I'm sorry you were injured so badly while serving our country, but it was your choice to serve it. No one forced you, did they?

Your anger is misdirected, IMO. You're angry at the immigrants who don't even have a clue what's going on in this damn country, because they can't even understand the news! All they care about is putting food on the table to feed their families. Don't hate them. If anything, hate the government. Hate the system, because you're right, the system DOES suck.

Stop going off on the immigrants who came over. Like your grandparents, and my parents, and a lot of other immigrants (which, as was stated before, included everyone except Native Americans.) trying to achieve the "American dream", they're good people, and hard workers, doing work neither you nor I want to do...even in a pinch.

You resent that you got burned all over your body? Go get plastic surgery. I'm sure there are financial arrangements available for citizens injured while protecting our country.

you're right jimtex, but consider my last sentence in that post.

what happens to the companies investors if no one has any extra money to spend? that's what i mean by short term thinking.

i don't see why that doesn't make sense to the business world. you'll have something in the profit column now but what about later?

it is very hard to acept appology from some that sits there and bashes someone. I have to think this thru

I certainly understand that you would.

My only defense on why you might is to look at the time of my posting.

I was responding from page one when I wrote it.

I had no idea that you had been injured in Iraq and I absolutely would not have said what I did if I had known.

You really do not have to forgive me, but please believe me, I feel horrible about what I said in that post now.

Again Respectfully

inout,

How about you prove to us why YOU should be here?

Think about the subway bombings in the UK. They were born and raised there! Yet, they were terrorists.

How do we know our US born citizens aren't planning the same type of attack?

Your thinking is irrational.

inout, I really do feel bad for what happened to you. However I seriously think you should seek some sort of counseling. Foreigners are not the cause of all your woes and it's not healthy going on believeing that they are.

you wouldn't be wrong inout. you wouldn't be wrong.

it doesn't matter when a person immigrated to the US, you feel you have the right to criticize them but you can't take it. suck it up and try to imagine for a second what some of the bosnian people who are living here now have been through. might make your life seem like a walk in the park

HOLY CRAP!!!!
Passion do you really believe that Sadam ran his country better than us.

Men do strange things when they have been put through hell! Pissing on a picture of Sadam, is showing disrespect. I dont think that man deserves any respect. He is lucky it is, his picture, and not him, himself.

Yeah. During his time, it was better than what is happening right now. Killing all the innocent people and all military guys. US made it even worse over there.

And pissing in someone's picture is an act of indecency just like the US soldiers were having sex with prisoners and making up amature videos, no decnecy and character in them. No matter what Saddam is, he is still a human being.

OMG!
Do think that he thought about how human, the kurds were while he slaughtered them?
How about when his sons were raping women for pure pleasure? Or if the key athlete did not have a perfect game.. how he was tortured.

Can not disagree with you on the whole prison... that was awful. But Sadam is not being treated bad.
I would have kicked the shit out of him. Not given him a doctor to make sure his health was OK.

US made it even worse over there.

Between Gulf War 1 and Gulf War 2 all the averege Iraqi had to worry about was not publically defaming Saddam. Now they have to worry about getting blown up for doing nothing but looking for some work or waiting in line.

What next, we round up all the people in the USA who have severe difficulty in grasping the concept of grammar, spelling, syntax and basic english language usage - then send them all to some concentration camp? Whoops, I guess that would make inoutunderandover a target there.

This thread, almost in its entirety, is so ridiculous that it's almost sureal. Seriously.

And as far as the commentary on inoutoverandunder's positions, choices, etc., Mspicky, SICutie, passionateman, and exavier, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I would like to make a couple points on immigration. I really don't know totally how I stand on this issue, so excuse me if I make points on both sides.

Illegal immigrants' jobs are not jobs Americans are too proud to do, they are jobs that American's can't afford to do, and they would pay much better or leave the country completely if illegal immigration were stopped. A lot of illegals come here and live in the crappiest of conditions as they work for $3.00 an hour and they save the money up and leave. Americans don't have a poorer country to go back to. They have to pay bills in this country.

However, what's so wrong with illegal immigration. I mean if Dell and HP can hire people overseas to write their software why can't I hire a couple Mexicans to come up here and build a house for me for a couple months. Also, legal immigration and outsourcing costs Americans more jobs and money than the Mexicans coming up here. I read a few weeks back that we graduate 75000 engineers per year in this country and import another 25000 on H1Bs and other visas. Stop that from happening and engineering pay would skyrocket. Bottom line, if you have significant skills, you are not going to lose your job to illegal immigration.

Also, regarding the "nation of immigrants" business... most of that was prior to the new deal and the creation of the American welfare state. We offer lots of benefits to the citizens of our nation now, far more than in 1930, and because of this, significant immigration restrictions are needed.

In general, this outsourcing stuff scares me a little bit. Its one thing to compete with the guy down the block over a job, because he's got all the same expenses you do, but the guy in Bangalore pays like $50 a month in rent (probably less). American's can't compete with that. I have plenty of sympathy for any employee with a degree, or other significant training who lost their job over outsourcing. They did all the things they were supposed to do, and still got screwed. If a low/no skilled American looses their jobs, I don't have much sympathy. It's not like they really invested anything in training for the job.

In some ways I think the labor market could end up being so free that we'll end up having a two tiered society in the US with an investor class and a working class. American wages would drop to compete with the developing nations, and Americans would own most of the stock in the companies that hire people in the developing nations.

...just some thoughts.

I you guys can not see where i am coming from you really need to take step back and look in to your big citys and then may be you realize what i am saying have great day now

According to your 'wisdom', you have to leave the country. You have no basic knowledge of English.
Leave the continent now. We don't want you around.
I'm going to print up your posts and use them for what they should be used for...but the kling-ons on my ass aren't worth your presence.

How do you figure? I think he should be ashamed of his negativity towards immigrants, especially since he's only third generation...schooled in America, and does not use proper grammar.

Or was it my reference to Reservoir Dogs that should make me feel ashamed?

An old boss of mine said that clarity is everything, especially when you have the benefits of a computer. When using a computer, simple mistakes we make when speaking disappear.
Immigrants aren't the problem in North America. It's absolutely stupid to paint such a bad attitude based on such small numbers of a group.
The fact is, North America is losing ground, especially with knowledge-based and manual jobs. Jobs are being outsourced to other countries way too rapidly. That's why investing in resources, and trying to recruit new resources, is so important. Eventually, if we close up the borders, our economy will go down the crapper. I won't care about your plight at that point (you created the problem, you deal with it), as I'll be in some other country that will have me (and so far, many countries have welcomed me in), prospering and adding to their economy.

He is doing the best he can. He said he had injuries from Iraq. I think it is very low class when people make fun of other peoples writing skills because they think it's do to ignorance. The real ignorant are the ones making fun of people.
These same people probably make fun of crippled people too.

No. His bad typing is making people more aggravated because of his inappropriate comments. He's got serious issues, not related to his hands.
I can't stand his views. His hands will not change my opinion of him. Just because he's injured, doesn't give him the right to express such hatred and ignorance.

Yes he was, but he also made a comment that they should be given a year to learn the language, and if they didn't learn it by then, they should be deported. That's why everyone is in an uproar...His grammar stinks. (I left spelling out, because I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt with the burns on his hands.)

Wow - thankfully we have Mutliculturalism.......

I think that Multiculturalism is based on the basic, primary and fundamental values that unite all of us, such as respect for human rights, equality, and recognition of diversity. Racism remains a problem in many cities and communities, in some cases exacerbated by conflicts elsewhere in the world...or those with VERY narrow little minds

Dude,
Close your eyes and have someone read your messages. You'd think you were listening to an immigrant who is trying to learn the language, or some uneducated fart that forgot to brush his tooth.

SICutie...

As long as people eat, breathe and simply exist there will always be someone that will provide a service or provide goods for others. It's been that way since the beginning of mankind.

On a lighter note I found this to be interesting...I don't necessarily agree with it but simply put it here for others to read.

"The number of jobs coming from other countries to the U.S. (jobs “insourced”) is growing at a faster rate than jobs lost overseas. According to the Organization for International Investment, the numbers of manufacturing jobs insourced to the United States grew by 82 percent, while the number outsourced overseas grew by only 23 percent. Moreover, these insourced jobs are often higher-paying than those outsourced.

Fact: Nations are losing manufacturing jobs worldwide, even China.

America is not alone in experiencing declines in manufacturing jobs. U.S. manufacturing employment declined 11 percent between 1995 and 2002, which is identical to the average world decline. China has seen a sharper decline, losing 15 percent of its industrial jobs over the same period."

What is the nature of these "insourced" jobs?
