I couldnt even see myself with long hair now. People come in different shapes, different sizes, different colors.... and the hair is just one more way of expressing individuality.
As well as the color. Mine's been every color imaginable ha.

I wore mine long for years and recently cut it short... still haven't gotten any pics of it... I get so many compliments! I was afraid that men wouldn't notice me because of my short hair, and it has been just the opposite. Many male strangers, just out and about say "I like your hair" lol... I find that kind of funny. I was afraid I wouldn't feel sexy or feminine or whatever, the stuff I lecture my clients NOT to feel, haha, but it has been a GREAT experience for me to do it! I still feel attractive, sexy, feminine, etc, just with short hair, go figure! Women attach so much to their hair (which is nice, it's how I make $$) but, if you are attractive you are attractive. Now one thing I think is that it takes a more mature man, and one who really gets that it isn't about what he LIKES but what looks good on the individual. In other words, he can see beyond the 'beautiful flowing haired' archetype, to a more sophisticated well rounded way of seeing beauty. A man told me, 'not all women can pull that off like you... it takes a very attractive woman to do that. It's easy for a woman to look pretty with long hair, but with short hair, it's all out there... nothing to hide behind'. I thought that was an interesting statement. esp since it was complimenting ME. lol | |

with me...... well..... my hair is to the bottom of my butt cheeks.. very long... I dont suit short hair tho as I'm tall, broad shouldered and have a square face lol.... that just sounds awful doesn't it lol---- I couldnt imagine cutting mine off.. no way no how lol It takes 2 g/f's to hold me down just to trim it lol
to the OP.... you suit short hair hon... but a hairstyle does not make the person either.. it's personal preference... go with what makes you feel sexy ! :) | |

The short haircuts seem to be more when a woman is perhaps trying to fulfill a mans role. | |

For me having it shorter it's easier to take care of and I have thick thick hair. When it's long it takes forever to dry, takes a lot more care. As far as trying to be more masculine that's one of the most ludicrous things I've read in awhile. If you buy into that kind of thinking then are men with long hair trying to be more feminine? After I had seen the movie i saw a picture of her with hair and although still beautiful she was no where near as captivating as she was without. personally i prefer long hair, but some women look better with short hair. I know all the reasons for cutting your hair (from having three sisters) - easier to maintain, wash and go, no fuss no muss (what's a muss?), but i think what really makes the difference is (aside from not giving a $hit what anyone else thinks of your "do"), body shape. I have many women friends of all shapes and sizes. it appears when a curvier woman has long hair it balances their hips better. thinner women with less defined hips can pull off the short hair / no hair gig easier. | |
