| How do men feel about a woman with short hair?

Posted: 10/16/2005 6:01:53 PM | I used to have my hair long enough to tickle the backs of my knees. But one day I just walked into Supercuts and told them to chop it off. Now it's just a little longer than shoulder length. Is that considered short? I think it looks a lot better this length because it looks fuller.
And I'm saving a fortune in conditioner. | |

IE. if it is long, don't chop it off two weeks later. As an aside, I really like kissing necks, and short hair makes that much easier. | |

Seriously...I have always wished I had the face to pull off a short style...but I do not...and my guy prefers long hair as well, so I guess it works!

I hate it... i won't date someone with hair shorter than shoulder length ! why ? because to me it just makes the person look like a guy....and that's so not attractive...
GoldenTiger, do you honestly think us women with short hair look like guys? And unattractive? I can understand you liking long hair on a woman, but to say that those with short hair look like guys is a bit far-fetched isn't it?

Unfortunately, I find those are the same men who like women with breast implants. The ladies have to ask themselves, then--"do I really want the kind of man who objectifies me?" I doubt they do. I don't mean to attack you, Mike. I just think that using mens' magazines as examples wasn't prudent. See--I don't think all those mens' magazines are sold for their intellectual content or sensitivity. Sex DOES sell.
I think women like men who prefer women w/opinions.
To me, a woman w/striking, prominent bone structure is camouflaging her gift w/long hair. Look @ Halle Berry. W/long hair--she's a very pretty woman. W/short hair--she's 'Halle Berry'! She dazzles. When her hair grows out--she loses her sparkle--that elfin magic. She could shave her head & still dazzle.
I think Sinead O'Connor is hot!
Susan Powter--the 'STOP THE INSANITY!" exercise guru was very sexy.
Alyssa Milano looks good, no matter what, but I prefer her boy cut.
And Annie Lennox---I can't imagine her any other way.
Jamie Lee Curtis looks BAD with long hair, too.
Angela Bassett--long hair hides those cheekbones.
Sally Field, tho, needs long hair. Her face is too round to not have it.
I don't think I've mentioned a single 'short-haired boy' here, either. Do you? | |

Luckily I don't have to wash it everyday even though my foo foo boyfriend of recent has decided to start letting me know what all I don't do right. He put me in the shower the other night.. he washed my hair and completely detangled it and conditioned it in the shower and combed it all out. It was great but know, my hair touches my butt so he had a job on his hands. | |

In my opinion, without offering a view on what I like or dislike in what others like/dislike, it's my experience men do certainly prefer long hair on women. Or at least in this part of the country...brr! | |

Of course, that is probably before they see all the gray in it!! LOL My hair was short ONCE when I was a kid, and my brother and all his friends called me "dutch boy" like on the paint can... well.... that was enough for me. Some people think that when you get older you should cut your hair and I have to wonder why that is? | |
