Posted: 1/17/2006 9:34:19 PM | Have you ever considered that many women who wear their hair short, do so because of the texture of their hair ... if it's fine hair, when worn long just gets straggly and ugly. Recently, a friend said to me that the only reason women wear short hair is because they have given up on themselves, on their looks! I was totally appauled by this! Short hair can be just as challenging and just as much work as long hair !!! Wearing short hair has nothing to do with "giving up" on oneself ... but everything to do with what suits your hair type, facial features and lifestyle. Anyone who chooses her hairstyle just to please the opposite sex is living a lie. Your hairstyle should reflect you. If you are happy with your looks, you will reflect that outwardly ... and the men who are not attracted ... are ... not attracted ... no loss for you. Better they are attracted to your personality ... than your hair!  | |

I'm am a woman, yes I can dress up or down.. but in my everyday life I am a tomboy, I ride horses, work in my yard, can drive tractors, wear jeans and boots, go fishing and do just about anything a man can do. I'm not very foo foo as my recent beau just told me in so many words!! LOL.. like it matters!!! My hair is beautiful.. and it is long down to my butt (ok I could do with a few less grays) If I'm riding a horse or motorcycle then my hair is in a braid or in a ball cap... yeppers... I'm pretty feminine alright.. LOL...
And you are the ONLY person I've ever heard say Halle Berry is not pretty... | |

In the same vein--I much prefer wavy or curly hair to straight. Take Julianna Margulies or Kim Delaney, for instance. I find both MUCH more attracrive when they haven't straightened their hair.
I DO think, tho--that women without prominent bone structure need long hair more, & women like Jamie Lee or Annie Lennox, with longer, thinner faces, need shorter hair. | |

It's all about how a woman feels with he decission and ultimately the style.
If she feels sexy ... she will be sexy!
And... with age, there are changes in clothing styles, shoe choices, and activity.
Hair style compliments all those too. | |

For instance... Halle Berry (sp?) looks good with short hair... Sharon Stone I much preferred with long hair. | |
