It makes nothing but sense to me to examine how the government will chose to divide things up if ones relationship failed. If we, as a couple, have a different outlook on how we want our life to work, it only makes sense to over-ride the government’s view with a pre-nup or co-hab agreement.
Good point. Also anyone who's asked to sign a pre-nup should have their own lawyer look it over. I also don't think that it is unreasonable to ask for changes. Marriage is a two person journey, so if you're going to set rules and conditions on it before it even starts, both people need a say.
