As for cooking for a date I would make Chicken, mushroom and havarti cheese stuffed manicotti with a white wine sauce. I would serve it with a fresh spinach, tomatoe and mandarin salad.

or if shes a seafood lover whisley and soya marinated salmon, with a orange and mango marmelade, with a herbed rice pilaf and roasted veggies. and for dissert id serve sliced fresh strawberries flambed with grand mariner(sp) and hit with fresh cream and a touch of maple sugar, topped with a drizzle of belgin chocolate.
and for a salad id make a baby spinach salad with grilled fennel, sweet peaches, toasted pecan and oven dried cranberries, tossed in a citrus and kiwi vinagrette, and finished with fresh riccota cheese.

HAVEN'T you heard Polly..real men don't eat Quiche!!!!!! Well, I guess I'm not a "real" man then.
Although, some may disagree with that.
Real men don't wear plaid.

guess it would depend on what my guest liked....guaranteed to be no brussel sprouts though, they have got to be the nastiest vegies on earth!

| If you were to cook for your date.... Posted: 6/19/2006 2:06:42 PM | Well, I never cooked on my first dates...I preferred neutral territory when it came to that. After a few dates, I would be willing to make a meal. Now to think of what....
I would start with a simple salad of greens(depends on my mood on what mix it would be) or my homemade ceaser salad(its real yummy!) The, since I make a delicious orange and garlic rack of lamb, I would do that with along with a rice pilaf and probably some asparagus.
Finish the meal with me as dessert.....hehehe
