I just ignore them after that.
While I can understand your frustration, I have learned that some men ONLY like "true" BBW.. some will say only a size 20 and up is a "true" BBW. So when they ask how much you weigh and you say .. oh.. 150.. then they know you aren't a BBW and maybe they aren't interested anymore. Does that make any sense?
To avoid any akward questions, I just put my height and weight on my profile. Why not? Who cares? I mean if they don't like all 230 pounds of me they can kiss my big ass.

I take pride in how i look, I always try to look the best as possible. If you look like a scrub, and your hair is nasty and stringy then you have no room to complain about why guys dont like you. Its not about your weight its about how you dont take pride in yourself. Not that physical attraction is unimportant, but physical characteristics change. Those who truly want a lasting relationship will not put such emphasis on physical. I'm a BBW, and really only "now" stopped fighting the size nature intended me to be. I'm healthy and active, and I eat healthy most of the time, but I'm not going to starve myself or obsess over the numbers on the scale; all that serves to do is make me hungry and irritable. Nor am I going to worry about the men who don't like my body type; I'm focusing my search on men who do.
I've seen profiles on the BBW dating site full of comments that are JUST as shallow as those of men on other sites who make negative comments about BBW. One man actually stated he was divorcing his wife BECAUSE she'd had gastric bypass after she had a foot amputated due to diabetes. She was losing weight to save her life, not for vanity, and he no longer wants her because she's going to be too thin.... Now, if that's not shallow, I don't know what is! And I seriously doubt he gets any more "hits" than the idiot who sent me a smile--wanting a submissive woman with 50s values who realizes who wears the pants, and if she got out of line she'd be taken over his knee..... I sent him an email telling him just where he could stick that!
But the strange thing about attraction is its complexity. Just about every person on this planet has found themselves drawn to a person absolutely not his/her "type". That other person has that intangible "It" factor that makes them shine brighter than everyone around them. That radiance makes them irresistable, even if they aren't what you normally would consider "beautiful". | |

Wow. For a moment I was speechless.
Just because I may not be desireable to you doesn't, by any means, mean I'm not desirable to others.
I may not know much, but I do know the one thing I never had to worry about was finding men that found me attractive. I don't think it ever had to do with the way I was built (though in a few cases that didn't hurt) but with the way I presented myself - not as a BBW but as a warm approachable person.
After the comment above I'm not sure you can even make the claim of being "a decent person." | |

Why do people prefer people that treat them badly to good people no matter the size. The last guy that broke up with me called me 2 or more times a day and texted me at least once a day every day and we were dating for over a months. He was telling me I might be the "one " and stuff like that but 7 days after my Father died on Christmas night he calls me and breaks up says I was smuthering him. When has it become exceptable to break up with someone on the phone or in email or just stop talking when you've dated and in some cases been intimate with? | |

This is as opinionated and snooty as you state all BBW's are.... Not really the trademark of a "decent person"
I know many wonderful people of all sizes, if you get to know the person, most are regular people, sometimes they have defensive habits, but once they realize that you are not worried about their size, they tend to act exactly as anyone else would.
I wonder if they respond to you in the manner they do because of your prejudices towards them?

so just because we are heavy, it's because we are lazy and sloppy? I am active, i don't sit on my ass eating a gallon of ice cream each night for dinner. My weight is the result of a thyroid problem, and being unable to control the medication.
two of my good friends are heavy. they work their ASSES off at a farm every summer, not anywhere near lazy. they are meant to be heavier. | |

My sister is a BBW but she is a plus size model, works out at the gym everyday and is in great health.
Firmly believe that weight can be genetic all you have to do is look at family pictures.
So we all need to give others a chance.
If you look at my pictures you will find out that I am a BBW!!
But also if you took the time to talk to me you would find some important things out.
Like I had lost 75 pounds till some individual ran a red light at 55 mph resulting in complete bedrest for a year. Now I am trying to get back to the grindstone though I won't ever be the measurements of Barbie!!! | |

Wether its looks, weight, or whatever. Everyone has their preferences. Thats why there are so many choices in the world today, some people like grape jelly and some dont, but dont knock someone because they dont like grape jelly.
