Brewster, Nebraska, has to be experienced - it is as close to "old west" as you can get; it is the county seat, and the town is mostly graveled streets. Cowboys - REAL ones - come in off the ranch at night to the local eatery which happens to be inside the lodge located there for a steak and entertainment. There are plenty of ladies, as well, for those not interested in the cowboys... lol... You cannot go wrong with this activity!

On the brighter side, if you decided to make a day of it, you could go to the mall (Westroads) during the day, and party at night. Flashback's has a DJ. He usually plays some good stuff. Once in awhile, he'll jump off and start playing a bunch of dirty rap songs. Why some people enjoy being sworn at and to is still beyond me. I usually have fun when I go there.

Instead of going to some loud, crowded, try to find a seat in close approximation to everyone else expected to be there with different arrival times kind of place, why not set it up for a Saturday afternoon venue. Take advantage of the good weather. You could go with meeting at one of the smaller par 3 golf courses, the outdoor patio at an Old Chicago, or some other such place. It would give you time to meet people in the daylight and get to know them before going to a darkened bar and searching for someone you may not recognize at first sight.
It would also give those who live a distance from Omaha from having to hurry home after work, clean up, change clothes, and drive to Omaha before it gets too late.

Did you guys already rule out the tank float? That sounded incredibly fun to me. Then there was this one lady I met recently talkin' about a possible picnic...can't remember her name tho...dammit
Ok, ok I'l be serious. Set something up peeps and I'll try to make it. I make NO promises about bringing guests (most of my friends are married so..) but if my sorry a$$ is welcome well, you get the idea.

I am making tacos a la grande, peppered with jalapenos, and spiced lightly with dijon mustard. Top that with grits and hog jowls, and a touch of Irish stew, and you have for a GREAT diversity cuisine. I am just trying to figure out where to serve it, since most restaurants want you to buy THEIR food. Go figure!
