Posted: 10/2/2005 1:10:43 AM | Sandals...great !! Socks..great... Socks with sandals ...even greater!! Who gives a toss??? Loosen up ,control freaks who care about this sooooo much.... What about socks with Global warming ???
And Oh... yeah!- socks do keep the dirt off feet, stop sweaty sandals and stop feet slipping around inside & also FEELS better. This is an expert view -after years of feeling guilty for some stupid reason !!
PS I'm not wearing socks with my sandals right now...that's because no one can see me obeying the 'rules' :)) | |

In the nature of topics of relevant importance, how important is this? People spend too much time thinking about irrelevant things such as fashion mistakes, or the, heaven forbid, terrible sin of appearing like a fashion nerd, when the world is dying around us. Umm hehehe wait.....are you being serious? Its the little things in life that matter. If if they are the things that bug us. Not everyone in the world needs to be concentrated on starving children in pakistan or the growth of AIDS and finding a cure. Do you know how many things would be neglected and overlooked if we werent putting energy into various things?

There are probably little children in third world countries who would be happy to have a pair of socks and sandles to wear either separately or together.
Being a starving third-worlder is no excuse for poor fashion sense.
And besides, don't you think Ngugi the hungry Ethiopian would be a little warm in socks? Sandles would be ok though, as long as she knows how to accessorize. | |

And whats up with docmartin boots and skirts in dead of summer. or How about those ear muffs aye, whats up with them, bet they must be really expensive now , what with the price of steele now a days. And gulf shoes, have you seen some of them????
I for one, and I say one because 'I' really dont give a fuk what N.A. fashion trends try to dictate or what North Americans think, am quite willing to put my woolies on with my sandels should my toes begin to chill. I love knowing and feeling the warmth, the air and the comfort of this combo!!!Shorts too! but not khaki.
wouldnt do white or argoil (sp?)socks though. | |

Posted: 12/17/2005 8:10:21 PM | | who are the "fashion police" anyway..i love wearing socks in my sandels...its not a matter of style...its function...apparently i suffer from a life long case of "cold feet"..i dated a girl for a while who actually hid my socks that i brought along to slip inot when the sun went down...i was uncomforatble as heck that night..and not to pleased her "fashion sense" interfeared with my comfort...i must keep my feet warm...and carrying along a pair of socks is easier than a extra pair of shoes...FYI...i froze my toes when i was 17...spent 4 days in the hospital...almost lost em...often they get cold when its still warm out by most peoples standards..somtetimes things arnt as straightforward as they seem.. | |

you know what, i think i'm gonna buy some scooby doo slippers and wear em on the d.c. metro with shorts and dress socks and one of my looney tune silk ties
almost willing to bet if i did, that I would have at least 5 comments telling me the slippers are the schiznit | |
