Obviously you've been screwed over by a man somewhere down the line, and it sounds as though he chose a smaller girl. for someone who is new at this, you seem to have caused some waves.
First off personal attacks are really not the easiest way for you to effect answers except negatively.
Secondly, I agree that the whole skinny/ugly or fat/prettier thing seems unfair but life is not fair. It happens and you can not change what a person likes any quicker than an ethnic man could get me to go out with him. Its just not what I like. What you need to do is get over this little fact and deal with it as a mature human. Then start living your life the way it was meant to be lived....HAVING FUN. Don't care what people say or think just because your overweight, we have the same feelings and we can have just as much fun. I'm 23, overweight, and too busy between work, school, church and three church groups I am in, along with 3 other extracurricular activities to find a regular work out time. Do I care...NOPE because I'm pretty, I'll eventually loose weight or I won't, but I refuse not to be happy. | |

It seems to me that men will date the ugliest woman as long as she has a Barbie doll figure. Whats your opinion?
It all boils down to preference...Personally I prefer curvy, voluptuous, thick, reubenesque, or however you want to classify a medium sized girl...Not all men are drawn to the anorexic thin, or model types...Aging has a way of making a person less shallow over time (we all get older, gain weight, wrinkle exct..), a fact that becomes more apparent every time I look into the mirror and see new signs of aging...lmao...I think what I am more interested in these days is finding a mate that is compatible, has similar interests, intellect, sexual appetite, personality and zest for life...If all that is rolled up into a package that fits my ideal, thats all the better, but I wont base my decision to date someone on looks alone...  | |

As you see on this "thread", thin women also get the same things. Some people can't help what size they are. lol.. for instance, I can eat all I want, but I won't gain any weight. Believe me, I've tried. I used to be real self concious.. but then I came to realize that my proportions are great. Plus, when I'm older my high metabolism will definately come in handy. lol.

Oh I have to disagree, I knew exactly what I was writing...My point was that modern society (led primarily by the fashion industry), seems to press the point that having "visible ribs" is a fashionable and desirable attribute...Personally I find "unusually thin" people as physically unattractive as the obese...If you read my entire previous post, you will find that I state that I wont rule out dating someone that is not my physical "type", that in itself is contrary to being shallow... | |

so instead of loathing why some men dont like bigger girls.. get over yourself and love what you got and look for the guys who like a lil extra something.
I put it flat out in my profile, I got a womans body with the right curves, those who dont like it, can move on... but you will never catch me coming down on the size 3-5 chicks.. why because its pointless.. we all got different shapes and sizes, we all like different things.

It always starts with sombody that is insecure about her weight (the reason I omitted the politically correct "his/her" is because guys just don't give a crap). Here's how i'm gonna lay it down for ya.. ok i exercise 6 days a freaking week.. it was 7 but i decided to take one day for myself to get the house work done. Like i said before, I'm not flabby, I don't have rolls hanging out, i am curvy and solid in all the right places, i guess i was never meant to be rail thin. It took a long time to come to appreciate myself, love me for me, ya know, but when it comes down to it, i can outlast and outwork a "thin,average,athletic,big girl" , ya wanna know why?? cuz i'm not weak, i eat a balanced meal everyday, and NO i don't eat mcdonalds, surprised? I don't eat fried ANYTHING. It's not because of my weight though, it's because of my strength.
Honestly I would have personally NEVER started this thread, because it DOES set it up for the OP to get flamed and any other girl to get flamed.. by the guys who only like big girls or the guys who only like thin girls.. , and then people come in and decide instead of just answering, they need to give out exercising routines.. Hey if you dont like a certain type of person OK, don't like them!!! But don't sit there and try to tell them how to make it so that they are accepted.. ON the other hand.. women don't BIT©H about the men "not liking you"... if you are going for the type of guy who doesn't like your size, be it thin, average, athletic, big, whatever, don't chase after them.. let the one's who WANT YOU, come to YOU.. then you don't have to worry about that guy not liking ya for your size, because hey he chose you!!! There are plenty of attractive men looking for different shapes and sizes..
And i'm not saying settle for whatever comes your way.. But if you want that guy whose preference is only whats on the outside , they are only looking on the outside anyway.. so just move on!!!

Well thats not fair to say... that they are only looking on the outside.. maybe that person clicks with that "thinner" person, there are some people out there who look for a connection, and maybe the thinner body has the appeal to make them interested in the first place, but lets be honest, if they stick around and the thinner person is like a sac of rocks dead from the neck up .. well then its fair to say that the person goes for the outside look. But dont judge all people who are with a thinner person and say.. "oh they are only in it for the looks"
Your not them, so you cant say why they are interested in that person.
But other than that Danigrl, I totally agree with you, posting a topic like such only adds flame to the fire.
