| lorry drivers Posted: 1/5/2006 3:09:14 AM | Sorry to be boring, but all comercial vehicle drivers by law did not have to clung 'n' click this was because large HGVs and slow movers were really the only commercial vehicles.
Then as commercial vehicles became smaller, ie any payload over 1 tone, which vans and even some pickup 4x4s acheive the law was made widespead to any vehicle which was manufactured with seatbelts should be warn. No one seems aware or cares of this though even the old bill.
I think **Candika** made a similar point but probally more interestingly.

I work in transport and just to let you know any HGV manufactured since October 2001 is required to be fitted with a seatbelt and if they are fitted they are supposed to be used! It isn't usually enforced though for all the reasons stated above. | |
