Posted: 9/29/2005 10:17:35 PM | From what I understand...To carry them, you would have to have them..meaning the actual warts...and you can get rid of them totally...someone correct me If I am wrong....
Months, even years, can pass from the time a person is infected and warts appear. They can be removed but there is not a cure for the virus, though the immune system can reduce it to almost nonexistant levels. And the warts can disappear on their own. | |

Went to the Dr. and sent me to a specialist and he hauls out this long Q-tIP PUTS IT IN A JUG OF hYDROGEN AND DABS THE WARTS ON MY d**k ( DAMN SHIT THAT'S COLD ) AND FREEZES THEM OFF....
no sex for a friggin week
But never got em back. | |

Oh and that's why there is the PAP exam for ladies,early detection of abnormal cells means a better chance of treating the problem.I know first hand from an experience,turns out it was nothing but because I am young and healthy,I was fine as a factor. | |

Long before she was ever sexually active, she had growths on her cervix removed ... suspected signs and symptoms of the HPV. Throughout her very monogamous marriage had more stuff removed 2 more times from the cervix --- still never testing positive to the HPV virus.
She no longer even has a cervix because she eventually had a hysterectomy and now she is testing positive for the HPV virus!!!
I asked her if she ever saw any warts ... she says "no". Asked her in all the years she was married if her hubby ever got warts ... she says "no".
Over 40 years since she first had growths on her cervix removed ... no doubt related to HPV and she is finally getting a positive for the HPV virus.
I think there are a lot of unanswered questions still ... apparently for sure they know the HPV is sexually transmitted and once you have it ... baby you own it. That is simply common knowledge about any virus.
Once you have been exposed to any virus, it stays with you whether it is the measles, chicken pox, rubella, polio, every single common cold ...... you own it. Viruses do not ever "disappear and do not go away ... warts can be "burned off "... "frozen off" ... treated with slow acting acid, but the virus stays in your system.
There is never a need to be wreckless, but to what lengths must we go to be cautious and preventative? It has already been stated that using a condom does not prevent the spread of HPV. To continuously abstain is not human.
Would I knowingly date someone with genital warts ... probably not if I felt I would eventually want to be sexually active with that person. | |

It has already been stated that using a condom does not prevent the spread of HPV.
Condoms will help to prevent spreading warts, but they will only protect the area they cover. As HPV may be present anywhere in the anal and genital area, they may not provide full protection. | |

Posted: 11/24/2005 10:35:24 PM | When I found out that I had them, it was the first time I went down on a girlfriend with the lights on... I asked her what they were, she was covered in them.. she got defensive and closed up...
The next day, she 'came from the doctor' (how did she get in that quick?) with pamphlets for me. I began to manifest symptoms 6 months later, which Aldera cleared up nicely.
There was never really any doubt in my mind that I got them from her, I could trace my sexual history 7 years over three partners, and none of them have it, I have been in touch with them to find out. What I wonder is: Did she know she had them? Girls go to the gynecologist every 6 months or so, I have heard... I caught her lying about things before, like the 'miscarriage with her abusive ex boyfriend'....
Anyway, she dumped me for a guy with more money... I had spent all of my mine on stupid things like furniture for her house, her car, and diamonds...
Sorry I am a little off track... short answer... You Bet I Would!
I probobly wont date again, now... I have never met anyone with HPV, its not as if they wear a badge... I would never date someone without telling them that I had it, because I kow that even if I dont have the symptoms, I will always be a carrier.

How are you supposed to know they have herpes untill you are both naked and ready for lovin? lol You can ask, but who'd admit to that? I demand a law that forces all dates to begin with a proper genital inspection. Followed by a cigarette and some CSI.
What if you really loved them a lot and found out they had herpes...? Would you dump them? I would... I'm sure they can find someone else who already has it and they will get along great!
One more thought... do you think Magic Johnson has had sex since he found out he was HIV positive...? I mean, that was like 15 years ago or something. He MUST have screwed someone... wouldn't that someone also get 'the AIDS'...? Bad Magic... It would have to be a pretty big island - 20% of American adults have genital herpes, and at least 50% have HPV at some point in their lives. | |

Also, most people that have it, aren't aware of it, having herpes doesn't mean that you always have warts. It can be controlled but not cured. Having this does not mean that you necessarily sleep around or are a nasty person, unfortunately it's passed on by unknowing people or people who are too embarrassed to tell, probably because of the people that would act like idiots after hearing like many people on here have. People should really educate themselves before being so judgemental, you never know, you could have it yourself. | |

If so, it's considered the leading cause of cervical cancer--and yes, it can "hibernate" in your body for many years, or, you can be treated and told all is well. Then, years later, have an abnormal Pap Smear, etc.
I think I would always get at least a second opinion if "any" doctor told me it was "all gone"...
It's also been shown that the hormones from pregnancy can increase the cell production ((if there is any of the HPV virus left in your body)). Many women are now diagnosed with cervical cancer after their first pregnancy as well.
It's scary out there these days. Better to be safe than sorry, I think>>>> | |
