I'm actually from Prince George and have never lived anywhere else except several months in Britain as a kid and some courses at University in Vancouver.

| were are you from orignally Posted: 5/27/2009 12:02:05 AM | Not from here and really want to get out. I feel stuck. I appreciate Canadians' sense of order and fairness but need more chaos and stimulus. Interesting thought: I am from my father more than my mother, spiritually...physically both: Italian and Polish. Geographically: born in South America. It is confusing...but I like it. It is intersting....I feel like a citizen of the world. Itchy. MN | |

| were are you from orignally Posted: 7/20/2009 11:52:58 PM | I was born and raised in Vancouver. I've lived in Maple Ridge (we all make mistakes), Campbell River (and apparently we don't learn from them), Burnaby and Coquitlam. I've been back in Vancouver for twenty years now.
In a previous lifetime, I'm pretty sure I was originally from Hawaii

| were are you from orignally Posted: 7/21/2009 8:03:15 AM | In a previous lifetime, I'm pretty sure I was originally from Hawaii I am pretty sure you are right about that, Bella!
I was born in Drummondville, Quebec. My dad was in the military so we moved often.
Picton, On Halifax, NS Camp Val Cartier, Que Chilliwack, B.C. Sea Island, B.C. Victoria, B.C. ( where dad retired when I was ten)
On my own~
Vancouver, B.C. Mexico City, Mexico Los Angeles, Ca Vancouver, B.C. Calgary, Alta Edmonton, Alta Toronto, On Los Angeles, Ca Milan and Rome, Italy Paris, France Madrid, Spain Rotterdam, Holland Athens, Greece Montreal, Que Vancouver, B.C. Hornby Island, B.C. Victoria, B.C. Vancouver, B.C.
As an adult I thought I would never move often since I had a choice in the matter, Vancouver became my base and work took me to many locales. Once I was divorced and my child in school I stayed in Victoria for all of his school years. Each other place I lived for at least a year and often as much as five years. So when people ask me "where I am from" I say " I was born in Quebec" but, I am a citizen of the world!
Now my son is grown I plan to keep Vancouver as my base and revisit some of my former "home" cities and some new ones!

and for a bit of irony, on POF there is a lady who was born same day, same hospital ( St Mary's r.i.p.) same month, same year, same day, same morning shift etc, but beat me by just under 3 hours into the world.
So we share almost everything including the fact we shared a room 50 years ago....... and at some point our mothers probably chatted about us. And here we are, on a social site all those years later.

| were are you from orignally Posted: 7/21/2009 7:28:46 PM | Ottawa....to a Scottish Mum and an English Dad. I once asked them (while in elementary school) how they could have gotten together, with all the wars and such between Scotland and England. They laughed and smiled...said a few words...and I was taught (without knowing it) a life long lesson.
Headed west to Jasper at 19...haven't moved farther east since....
