That guy was put in power by American industrialists to defeat socialism. Rockefeller, Ford and Bush were all supporters of him and US industry started the war as much as anyone else. They empowered him to take over Germany by funneling money to him.

Sometimes California was reimbursed more than $1 million in a single year.
It's WAY not about socialist or not socialism. Murderers will use socialism, capitalism, democracy or anything the want to call it to justify what they do. It's people that rule people, not systems. For every system with a murderer, I can point out at least one that was good.

I believe I'm less biased than most Americans (especially) about socialism or communism because this nation is brainwashed against it by private interests.
Some nations have flourished with socialist governments. Sweden, France, Belgium, Italy didn't turn into anything like the forms of socialism under leaders like Stalin and Mao.
Of course, you could argue that there's never even BEEN a real 100% socialist government and that's true also. There are always segments of any economy that are free market, even if it has to be black market; but the same can be said for capitalism with socialist programs.
All governments are hybrids to some extent.
We have government redistribution of capital that benefits the rich as well as (if not much more than) the poor. We have a national highway system, federally funded harbors, airports, waterways, dams, bridges; public education, a national parks service, corps of engineers to build levees and such. This is hardly "free market" economics.
We could hardly have built a society like we have without those things.
You sound like you were greatly influenced by red-baiting. That's nothing more than propaganda. | |

The reason why the CRTC banned Bill O'Reilly is because for some reasone we can't charge him or Fox with libel. Him and Coulter outright lied about our country and media, and when we tried to get the two of those retards to man up, they ran.
Freedom of speech goes so far; when you abuse it, you no longer have it.
Even then, if you want to get his show, you can order it, so it's not banned entirely. If you want it, you have the freedom to pay extra for it ;) | |

This never happened. FOX was never banned, ...FOX actually never applied to the CRTC, a cable consortium did.
It's a licencing issue.
The same application included Al Jezeera, ...both were approved, with of course, the proviso that they comply with Canadian broadcasting rules.
As neither broadcaster was part of the application process, ...they were, NOT PART OF THE APPLICATING PROCESS, ...and didn't care one way or another, as such, ...made no move to provide a Canadian branch. | |

It never happened. It never WAS going to happen. It was all a lie and sixty thousand of our own military died over it, in addition to the hundreds of thousands of other military with serious disabilities to this day after that tragic war AND the millions of people who were just trying to live their lives who got blown to hell.
It's stupid and it's the type of thinking that Bush used to get us into this crazy trap we're in now.

Who has to get mad about this before something is done about it?
I also can't believe how he treats guests that he has on his show when he happens to disagree with their logic or opinions. It blew me away how he treated the kid who lost one of his parents in the twin towers. The kid was anti-war and O'Reilly basically told him that he was worthless, not to mention the countless times he just told him to shut-up. What a class act!! | |
