| Men posing with cars Posted: 1/23/2007 11:42:56 AM | I agree somewhat with guys putting pics wht their cars..why do they do that? I know a guy on POF..posing with his truck HE USED to have..no he has no car at all, and still uses the pic...shows really alot of phonies are here. I | |

Then why is it when I drive the Black 2001 BMW 330Ci convertable, Girls look at me and if I'm driving the '88 GMC 1500 truck, not even a glance.
I really don't want to date a girl who looks at me in the BMW, I want a Lady who wants me for me.
Is there something wrong with me? I don't know about other women, but for me I may like the car, but it has nothing to do with the driver. If I am not into the driver, unless he's willing to let me take it for a spin and bring it back to him, I have no interest. I may ask where he got it, or what you can get with it if you buy it, but that's the extent of it.
I know a lot of men who bought $60,000 cars because the chicks would dig him in it. For every woman who'll date a guy over a car, there's a guy who's using his car to pick up women.
The only way i'll be into a car that much is if I bought it myself. I honestly don't care what you drive as long as it works for you. Then again I like a guy in a pickup - most guys I "date" are contractors anyway, very few of them buy sportscars because they aren't practical to what they do for a living.
Some of you guys might be mistaking these women looking at you for women looking at the car itself. You're just in it. LOL

| Men posing with cars Posted: 1/23/2007 2:26:48 PM | | Let's turn it around a bit. How about women posing with their cats. Even further, just posting pictures of their cats. What does that tell me? I will always be second to the cat. Just an observation based on real life experience. | |

| Men posing with cars Posted: 1/23/2007 2:33:28 PM | A photo of a man posing with his car says nothing at all about the size of his penis. Where in the world did you get that from? Everyone knows it's the size of his feet that determines the length of his penis. Besides, I have a small compact car...but my shoes are size 13. You do the math!

| Men posing with cars Posted: 1/23/2007 2:42:47 PM | In my opinion, I see a guy with one pic of him, and six of his precious car, and I think "materialistic" ... I don't really think it has anything to do with the 'size' thing, but I think is has to do with a "look what I can afford" attitude.
Now, if it's one pic of his car among many other pictures, I think it gives off the "these are my interests" vibe, rather than a materialistic one, but that's just me.
Boys like their toys, and if it's a hobby, then he's going to want to show you that. I have pics of me with my dog, and me riding a horse, but chose to exclude pics of me doing yoga ;) because those are my interests and I want men to see that.
So if he wants to show me that he likes his car with one pic, then good for him. And if he wants to show me that his car is all he cares about with 6 pics, then he just saved me some time ;)

I will always be second to the cat. Just an observation based on real life experience. I am sure this is a joke. No one with any self confidence would worry about coming second to an animal or child. It's not a freaking competition.
That would reek of insecurity, immaturity and a bit too much selfishness...all qualities that would make a guy one hell of a catch. Yeah, has to be a joke. LOL

| Men posing with cars Posted: 1/23/2007 4:13:17 PM | Oldschoolqueen -- let me set the scene. First, I love animals. Second, no where in my post did I mention children.
My experience was inviting my new lady friend over the house for dinner. We had been on several dates and, yes I knew she had cats. In fact she had posted photos over her cats on the web site. When she arrived at my door she had two cats in tow, both dresssed in what she called "going to dinner outfits." The cats, I was informed were jealous that "mommy" was going to have a nice dinner and wanted to come along. The real intersting point of the evening came when I was serving dinner, both cats jumped on the table and began eating from the serving plates. I did what any normal person would have done, picked the cats up and placed them on the floor. That is when the screaming began -- not from the cats - from my date. "How dare I remove her children from the dinner table." "You wouldn't remove a child from the table, would you?" Whereupon she placed the cats back on the table.
Oh yes, I am insecure and selfish.

| Men posing with cars Posted: 1/23/2007 4:46:49 PM | | I fail to see how cats and cars relate under this topic. don't see many guys hooking up with a woman just because she has a high performance cat lol | |

Oh yes, I am insecure and selfish. Ok, so yes - you were joking, which is what I assumed. No one would generalize that all women who have cat pictures would be that type of animal owner from one person they dated. Of course you got an extreme situation, that's not normal.
"You wouldn't remove a child from the table, would you?" To which I hope you replied "well der - children sit at the table, not on it."
I don't think you are selfish immature or insecure unless you have a constant fear of that type thing. I don't think you were too worried about getting attention from that broad after the night you had, right?
I mentioned children because that's the other thing I see single people post about not wanting to come second to. Third are cars - the circle of life (or threads). Women who don't want to come second to a man's car are sort of being silly.
VVV Dude where've you been? Scroll up to post 304...the cat thing was just discussed. Moving on....VVV

I cannot believe the number of men who post pictures with them posing next to their cars !!!
I'm sure some of them are posing next to other peoples cars. Then when they show up on a date driving a Gremlin instead of the Mercedes they were posing next to you know you've been had.

| Men posing with cars Posted: 2/17/2007 1:52:05 PM | | I would say just like women posing with cars, I would be looking at the women first and then the cars. It's a guy thing with the cars but I'm sure most guys would be checking out the women first. A nice Cuda 440 or Vette 327 picture would be my second choice on my attentions. | |

| Men posing with cars Posted: 2/17/2007 3:05:21 PM | | If I ever get my old panel truck restored I'll post a pic of me standing next to it. Won't be any time soon though. Instead, I post pictures of me with my greyhounds. Is that the same thing? You know, my dogs faster than your dog......... | |

| Men posing with cars Posted: 2/17/2007 4:23:02 PM | LOL...000firefighter...You know what they say about guys who drive corvettes...A corvette is an extention of a mans' penis...I'd date a man with a truck any day over a corvette...especially if the truck is a big honkin F-150 four wheel drive...hmmmmm...I wonder what they say about guys who drive Lincoln Navigators...CA CHING BABY... | |

| Men posing with cars Posted: 2/17/2007 4:44:06 PM | | I have one of me on here with my motor bike.....so then what is that saying...??? I like that photo as its one of the very few ones I have that I look somewhat good in. I do not come out in photos very well as I have found out, some people always look good no matter how crappy the photo is. | |

| Men posing with cars Posted: 2/17/2007 4:48:32 PM | | Back in the 80's I had a motorcycle that would outrun any sports car made. When you are traveling at 140 miles an hour weaving through traffic, you don't really worry about your penis size, or if you are, you have a bigger problem than sexual prowess. I like sports cars for one reason, and one reason only: they are fun to drive! | |
