Why does it matter i can only see maybe jelousy
Well, I have a feeling that I and all the other girls on this site have enough confidence and self-esteem to not have any ounce of "jealously" over a girl whom I've never met that's dangling off the arm of a guy whom I've never met.
It really doesn't matter, in the end. I'm just curious as to the psychology of it all. I've noticed this pattern in alot of profiles with photos, and wondered what the motivation behind putting up a picture of that nature was.
That being said I am not hateful of guys (or girls) who have those pictures on their profiles. I will not block you if you send me an email and you have a picture of you with your ex-gf in it. Infact, I could very well become a good friend of yours, even if the only picture you have online is you with as many blondes as can be crammed into a photo as possible.
Infact, kudos to those people who have a photo of them with a sexy significant other. Even if it's not an ex, at least the picture lets me know that people aren't afraid to touch you. Photos like that eliminate the worry of "Does he/she have leprosy???"

she's (op) just stating an observation, must of whom responded to this thread don't even have a girl hanging off their "man like arms", so what's the big deal? and getting all defensive. I agree, showing off your ladies errr i mean sisters etc...in pics does look retarded. Purpose is to show you! and not your prize. Although this i coming from the guy that alters pretty much all the pics he's in lol. But i'm not in the market anymore. So in conclusion! peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a lame lunch to pack for work.

Ok, so why do soooo many guys on here put up pictures of themselves pictured with a female? Is it cause they want you to think it's their hot ex-gf? Like, "look at how hot I am, I have a blonde (who is probably his sister) on my arm?"
I got a message from someone with a profile - all the photos were of him with "Budweiser type girls"...
Do you all think that is odd...or?

| guys and their silly photos... Posted: 10/28/2006 11:02:55 AM | Ummmmm what about the guys who post pics that are at least 10 years old........you know, back when they had hair and no pot belly?
Cause when you meet up with them, you don't actually recognize them. Sheeeesh guys, put up something recent, will ya?

That is FAR FROM being a "guy" thing. Trust me on that (ok most women still have their hair). There are many women on this site, who mark "average" or even "thin" as their body type and have nothing but really tightly cropped head shots in their profile. Pretty faces, but meet them in person and they tip the wrong side of 200 on a scale. Why do women do that?

| guys and their silly photos... Posted: 6/2/2009 1:34:43 PM | I think pictures speak a million words. We have pics from long ago because that's what we were and did then. Pics also represent what people think, do for fun and generally what happens in their lives and can be considered a form of "advertising" as well. Why question someone who posts pics of his six pack or her barely contained cleavage? After all that's the bait they want to use just as the pics we post and hope someone will find them appealing for what ever reason. A pic of a Ferrai is OK...a pic of a Ferrari with a sea kayak strapped to the top and the woman looking like she hasn't seen civilization for a month will make ME drool! Pics are like profiles; it's all in what you see and read and do we really care if neither doesn't appeal to someone? NOT a friggin bit sorry | |
