| | How did your parents find out that you were having sex?Page 6 of 8 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) | A few years ago I had a pregnancy scare.Naturally I was freaking out so I decided to confide with my mom and told her what was going on.I was 22 at the time and it was my "first time" so I was quite over-whelmed and emotional because of that-and it had hurt like hell!Seriously,I walked like a penquin for awhile because I was in pain lol.
When I told my mom I was crying because I was terrified of how she'd react and I was having a hard time adjusting to losing my virginity if that makes any sense.All in all I was an emotional mess lol.
Anyway my parents tell each other everything and I mean everything!So that's how my parents found out that I was sexually active.BTW it turned out I wasn't pregnant thank God!We were very lucky as we didn't use protection.I know,it was a very stupid thing to do and when I get into a new relationship Iam going on the pill! | |

Posted: 7/22/2009 9:00:29 PM | I used to hide my condoms and then I stopped caring about hiding it. Mommy found them and flipped, I just laughed. Protective as usual she went to daddy and ranted...I found it all funny because a sex talk is given to you wheb you're like 16...not 19.
The best part was they thought that since it was the first ones they found...it was the first one I bought.

The first time my dad acknowledged it, was when my beau at the time (who became a good friend and confidante to him) mentioned to me that he told Dad that it was weird waking up next to his nose in the morning. I scolded him profusely for Dad believed that I was a virgin.  Dad and I never discussed it.
The other time was when Mom (well in to her 70's and divorced from Dad for over 30 years) mentioned that he jumped on and off like a jack rabbit. I let her know that I did not need the information. She then asked me why for she figured that I was a big girl who had at one time in my life had the same experience.  Mom is now 89, has dementia and still says pretty much still says what she damned well pleases.  | |

Posted: 7/22/2009 11:38:58 PM | My mom is a snooper, and I had been with my boyfriend for six months and we had decided that the time had come to take our relationship to the next level. He took me to my appointment early one morning and waited while I went through the examination and got put on the Pill. Those were the days when you had to wait a whole month before it kicked in, so needless to say, the anticipation was building, and I was nervous as a cat.
Well the month passed, and he had a whole romantic evening planned for us at a friend's home. We were going to go out to dinner, then go back to the house and go at it for the first time. But before the date, my mother comes out of my room and confronts me in the kitchen. She had gone through my purse, found the pills, and was ballistic. She sat me down and lectured me for over an hour about how 'They don't buy the cow if they get the milk for free.' I was so traumatized, I called my bf, told him what happened and canceled the date. I stayed on the pill, and told my mother I was still a virgin, but that I wanted to keep taking them because they helped my period pain and made them so short. She agreed I could stay on them, but two weeks later, I broke up with my boyfriend because of the guilt (I felt like I was leading him on, by not going through with things after all the planning) and I started dating a guy 6 years older than me. Fast forward two months later, he had a ring on my finger, and convinced me to give up my virginity on the top of a mountain in his new Ford Ranger. Needless to say, it was horrible, unromantic, and all the way home I kept thinking to myself 'This is what I was so worked up about?' I felt like an idiot.
Mom found out what had happened about a month later when she found my journal, hidden behind my clothes in my closet. She told me I got what I deserved, and she hoped that I would wait to do it again until I was older and wiser. But then she told me she was glad that I had taken the initiative to get on the pill, so at least there wouldn't be any chance of pregnancy. I don't think she told Dad about it, at least I hope she didn't, he would have been extremely embarrassed.
Looking back, I should have stayed with my boyfriend and waited until I was really ready. He was a really good guy, and he cared a lot for me.

I really don't give a care what they think anymore as their crazy religious views and embarrassing stories and my dad's obsessions with organs and organ music has really turned my life into a living hell. *shrug* yea mom, im still a virgin and no ive never ever been drunk i swear! hahaha. and if they believe that i have a bridge to sell them. | |

Posted: 7/24/2009 5:28:56 PM | My dad doesn't want to know that any of us are having sex. My sister's are 35, 33 and I just turned 29. I tried to talk about who I was dating the last time and he got all defensive. I mean what the hell. Talking about dating as an adult. Some parents just see you as a "little girl, or boy" even years after puberty, when you don't even look like a child anymore. I find it odd and amusing at the same time.
I could understand the aversion to knowing about sex when your kid is a teenager... But an adult. I mean if we're married, um I assure you we've had sex with that person at SOME point! | |
