My mom looked right at me when I was 14 and asked me if I was a virgin or not. I boldly looked her in the face and said Yes mom, I am. Then she threatened to take me to the hospital to be checked (I'm guessing someone tipped her off) and I started crying and said No mom, I'm not okay... The next time the guy came over she pinned him to the ground, grabbed his balls and twisted with all her might. Needless to say, I haven't talked to him since! | |

Posted: 9/13/2009 5:47:36 PM | Went out one night without telling my parents. I was 19 at the time though (just starting college.) I had heard enough of how "sex was great" and how I should "wait for the special someone" before I did anything while hearing about all my friends banging every girl that walked by. So, I talked to a girl online, grabbed my keys and went over to her house for the weekend.
Mom called my cell phone constantly (I had it on silent). She threatened to call the cops if I didn't call back. No one said a thing when I came walking into the house with scratch marks down my back and my neck looking like a leopard. They all knew from that point on. | |

Posted: 9/13/2009 6:54:14 PM | My boyfriend was camping with us. All of the teens had moved to a spot further away. (Why I never thought they would check up on us, I can't imagine.) It was my first time. Literally, within 60 seconds of us finishing and me putting my underwear back on, my dad strolls up to our campfire. I was mortified. He never said anything to me. But, I can't imagine he didn't know.  | |

HER: Who is it?
ME: Um, sure... Um, what time?
MOM: (On the phone) Is somebody there with you?
HER: Damn it, who are you talking to?
ME: (Eyeing her warrily) What time, Mom?
MOM: (On the phone) Well, er, um... how about you just meet us?
HER: Oh, my God... (Giggling.)
MOM: (On the phone.) You can, um, bring your friend, too, if you like. Who is she?
ME: Hold on I'll ask her...

What followed was one of the most awkward breakfasts of my life. The girl had a hicky I'd given her and my parents definately noticed. Mom called me some days later and asked me how long "that had been going on." I told her the truth and she talked to me about responsibility and protection.

Posted: 9/14/2009 12:51:28 PM | They came home early from a weekend trip and found the 3 of us asleep on my bed....thats when i learned not to doze off, the look on mom's face was a mixture of panic, shock,disgust and rage...dad was to busy sneaking looks at the two young ladies! lol

| How did your parents find out that you were having sex?
Posted: 9/15/2009 7:31:06 PM | I don't think my parents know when or to whom I lost my virginity. My mom found the condoms next to my bed when she opened their container while helping me pack up my room at the end of my junior year at college. I saw her open the container, see what was inside, and quietly put the lid back on and pack the container.
She definitely knew when I had a boyfriend stay over a few times the year after I finished college. Last boyfriend of mine she met, came with me for Thanksgiving. She actually checked to make sure we didn't need a separate bed made up for each of us, and my dad and I burst out laughing. She hadn't thought we would, just wanted to make sure it wasn't awkward or anything.
My family has healthy boundaries around these things, but part of that includes hoping we're all having healthy, happy, and safe sex lives, and wanting to know nothing about the details. I like that balance. | |
