| Tall Guys Posted: 10/20/2005 8:59:52 PM | I was in Wal Mart one day and this Wal Mart staffer comes up to me and asked me if I could get an item off the top shelf for her because she couldn't find the isle ladder. So I guess us tall guys are good for something. | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 10/21/2005 5:34:10 PM | My Dad didnt wanna climb up and down a ladder, so he got me to paint the ceiling once. Being tall is ok..I guess, I really have nothing to compare it to..but low door ways and ceiling fans suck..so folks..if you're gonna entertain, and have tall people over..please, please turn off the ceiling fan before we enter the room. I hated dodge ball as a kid, I hate dodge the moving fan blade even more. | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 12/5/2005 8:16:56 PM | I was just thinking about this thread. I think ive decided if a women wants to be "safe and secure" by being with a "taller" guy, then im most likly not interested in that personality anyways.
I guess im not looking for a women i need to "protect" why should a guy have to "protect" a women anyways? Its not like there are zillions of roaming bandits about the country anymore. Furthermore, if my date and i were put in a situation where we HAD to fight it out, id sure like it if she was able to stand up and fight up too.
It bugs me that women are more attracted to tall guys, but in retrospect i guess i really wouldnt be interested in thoes women anyways, at least if they seriously dont feel safe w/o tall guys.
I want my partner to feel strong and safe on her own! That way together we would be even stronger!

| Tall Guys Posted: 1/31/2006 11:02:15 PM | | Ya, I'm 6'2". I hate being "normal" tall, I'd give me 3rd elbow to be 6'2.5" or 6'3". | |
|
| Tall Guys Posted: 2/18/2006 10:32:44 PM | | why? i think 6"2 is a good height for a guy. i'd even prefer my guy to be 6", and are you sure about giving up one of your arms? i'd prefer a 6"2 guy with all his limbs to a 6"3 guy with one missing | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 2/19/2006 8:59:22 AM | To me this height thing gets a little ridiculous. I mean, if your the same height, whats the problem? Yeah I know, high heels. Stilts would be more effective. Yes, you want to feel protected. If your that afraid, pepperspray or handguns are avalible. Thats what policemen are paid for. Most men seem to like shorter girls. Who really cares unless you need someone to put your can of beer on. Can't help it, I feel sarcastic today.... | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 2/19/2006 12:05:22 PM | | Tall men tend to be more confident, they also aren't intimidated by the fact I have muscle. I would have no problem dating a guy who was short AND confident AND not put off by the fact I bodybuild. | |
|
| Tall Guys Posted: 2/20/2006 12:03:07 AM | | well here's a bit of my prob. i feel awkward with any woman under 5,7, makes me feel like walking a child,i'm not into children ! and than i live in a part of the world where overwhelming majority of ppl r ShOrT,@ least by western standards. But i'm amazed with this thread, i know that short girls like tall guys, more like show unhealthy interest in them..Why girls, i have friends who r like 5,5-5,6 and they suffer because of this girly attitudes. C'mon girls, i look for someone i can look in her eyes, without bending down, why would u reject shorter guys, when u could look so good 2gether.. i will keep looking 4 someone "grown^up" enough 4 me ;) | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 2/20/2006 1:20:23 AM | | I prefer men 6 foot and over, I even mentioned my weakness for taller men in my profile!lolI'm 5"8 which I think is fairly average. | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 2/25/2006 12:24:21 PM | Hey Winger
LOL yessssss I am 6ft myself....and when I am out...I always get that feeling....they smile from across the room...I will smile back....and a few more glances will pass back and forth....but I always get that feeling they are too intimidated......even the taller ones....I get alot of short guys asking me out...and no offense guys...but I just can't dance with someone I have to look down on...you may have the most winningest (is that a word?lol) smile and an awesome personality....but when I am with someone I just don't wan't to bend down for a kiss or a hug.....I like to be able to look straight across or slightly up into his mesmerizing eyes and for either of us to be able to wrap their arms around the other without having to consider a chiropracters appointment the next day ha ha ... and don't get me wrong....I did TRY dating the shorter ones... but at my old age...have decided gonna hold out for the "Jolly Green Giant" heh heh sorry to all you wonderful lil green sprouts K that's my bit cheers and have a great day all Andy

| Tall Guys Posted: 2/27/2006 5:21:07 PM | Well at least you know how us tall guys feel like when we go out with women who are shorter than we are. I'm 6'4 and the last lady I dated was 5'4 I think my neck and back has permament crick in them from all that hugging aand kissing. Man, life is sooooooooooo rough. | |
|
| Tall Guys Posted: 2/27/2006 7:56:22 PM | | My dad is 6'4 and my mom is 5'3 - no wonder he has a bad back. I also know a couple, he is 6'6 and she is 4'10 - I am 5'10 and wouldn't date a guy shorter than me. | |

No tall guy I ever dated has complained I am too short
|
| Tall Guys Posted: 2/27/2006 8:18:08 PM | I guess height is relative...where I live the average height is 5'3" for women and 5'7" for men.. at 6' 0.5" in my socks I am considered very tall.........
but in US or Canada I would perhaps be considered slightly taller than average.
|
| Tall Guys Posted: 2/27/2006 8:33:30 PM | Depends on your age actually......
On average, American adults are an inch taller and nearly 25 pounds heavier than in 1960. Men’s average height has increased from 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9½ while women increased from 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-4.
The average weight gain was disproportionately higher than height gain. Men went from 166.3 to 191 pounds while women went from 140.2 to164.3 pounds.
