| Tall Guys Posted: 3/20/2006 1:57:52 PM | Wow, I read the answers in here and I really see almost a hatred for short guys. I don't think they are genetically inferior at all. What is going to happen if you women who are so militant against short guys have a short boy? Many many counselling sessions there.....I date short or tall women, it's who they are that is what makes me want them, not their height. You can control nearly all aspects of what your body looks like with the exception of height....being tall isn't all that great either. I would bet many taller men also get tired of shopping for clothes only to find they can't wear them, fitting into cars sucks, chairs don't fit right, doorways are too small or narrow, you're a target in bars for short guys with issues ironically bred by attitudes similar to what you see in this thread, people are intimidated by your mere physical presence. This is wonderful when they go passive aggressive on you only because you simply are bigger then them and you get (often unwanted) attention. Then you get the tall people who think they are entitled to be bulies simply due to size-and I see shades of that in this thread.
This thread and it's attitude is one reason it is not always wonderful to be tall. Shorter guys and gals are great people too.....

| Tall Guys Posted: 3/20/2006 2:01:21 PM | I love em'...I love all guys...Well, not all of them...Midgets are a no-no Can't be with nobody shorter than me...Im only 5'3 | |
| Tall Guys Posted: 3/20/2006 4:23:56 PM | I personally have never dated a man the same height or shorter than me ! ....
i like to look up to my man, not down at him !
| Tall Guys Posted: 3/21/2006 12:00:59 AM | | I love tall guys, being tall myself 6' with no shoes, and I love to wear my heels, it's nice to look up. But I do mostly date guys that are shorter then me, I can't imagine turning down a smart, funny guy beacuse he is shorter then me. I find that guys have a harder time with me being taller than them, but as far as tall guys go two thumbs up. | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 3/21/2006 2:55:09 AM | [I'm 6'2" and its been my experience that women prefer shorter men]

| Tall Guys Posted: 7/22/2006 2:49:36 PM | I have two brothers who are 6' 9", and the women love them....One time we had some pro-basketball stars over for lunch, and they were 6" taller than my brothers. My brothers are both very athletic and are both married and have good families. Hope this helps.... | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 7/22/2006 2:54:22 PM | ok, i'm 5'1", so height doesn't enter into my selection process. having said that...i'd love to meet a jockey. those poor guys! they must have the toughest time meeting suitable women! | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 7/22/2006 4:35:14 PM | | I love really tall guys. Don't know why but I do. One of the guys that I was "dating" was almost 7 feet. And I'm 5' 3". My cousins husband is 7' 1" and she's 5' 2". I just like tall guys. don't know why. | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 7/22/2006 7:31:51 PM | | I'm only 6'4" and I have to fight all sorts of what I call grandisism. Clothes and shoes are hard to find on the cheap, and I hit my head everywhere. Yargh. The world was made for 5'5" and under. Yargh again! | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 7/22/2006 7:58:27 PM | Tall guys are fantastic...I've only dated guys 6'0 and taller...maybe cuz I'm freakish myself, being 5'6 as an Asian woman...that's considered HUGE! | |
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/22/2006 9:52:25 PM | Okay I am 6'0 and it states in my profile, I want to date guys that are as tall or taller than me. It gives me this "sense" of security when I am with a man. Not as if I have to protect them if their mouth writes checks their a$$es cant cash.
But so many guys see me and pass right by me. But I have dated guys who are 6'8 and 6'9 and I loved it, I could wear 3-4" heels and still be shorter than they were. Such an awesome feeling. So where are all the tall men who want tall women?
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 1:10:58 AM | | Consider that the national average for men is 5'8" (I am not sh*tting you). Tall men are a rarity, as hard as it is for me to fathom. I grew one foot in a year. I'm still growing. My doc tells me I will reach another inch before 33. That will make clothes more of a burden than usual. Argh. It wasn't my fault...I just grew up this way, Yargh. | |

| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 2:04:04 AM | Damn...I must admit...I LOVE tall guys...really tall! I am only 4'11" ....sigh...so, freakishly short like some of the other ladies..I have dated "shorter" men and height has never been an issue when cosidering dating someone, but I gotta admit that the tall ones catch my eye and I seem to catch theirs as well...pretty cool, considering they can look right *over* me, lol! I don't think there is such a thing as TOO tall, IMO.
last BF was 6'4..230...big guy
Codex...finding clothes when you are tiny is just as challenging...I'm 41, I can't shop in the kids dept, lol!
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 2:06:23 AM | It's only because we ate our wheaties.
Kids, eat your wheaties! Mom will tell you why ;)
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 2:08:11 AM | | ^^^^^^^your cute! And TALL! | |
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 2:14:42 AM | | I ain't cute, but only if ya say so...lol. I never considered myself tall...just slightly above average. I wear size 13 boots, and it is murder to get a new pair. I'm all leg. Everything below the waist and involving the arms is freakishly monkeyesque. So it goes. Lucily, I havae a tailor. Whatever...I'm not 6'9" like I should have been if the food situation was right, or 7'5" like I wanted to be. So it goes. Li'l people are cute. | |
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 2:16:01 AM | | Whoo...the 40 o' vodka has done wonders for my spelling, or at least my deftness on the keypad on my laptop. Pardon my crude typos. | |
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 2:19:34 AM | Well, you are cute...cause I said so...lol! (some li'l people have attitude, lol) I have a son who is 6'2" and he wears a size 13, so I hear ya on how difficult it is find boots! | |
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 2:22:50 AM | | You know that, after we hit a certain height, we are completely useless. Shorter folk with attitude are necessary to give us necessary direction. | |
| Tall Guys Posted: 7/23/2006 5:52:22 AM | I wear a size 13 in women's shoes. Tell me about how hard it is to find shoes in my size. On the good side of it, when I go to the shoe store, I have yet to pay more than $10 for a pair of shoes because when they are in this size, they are on markdown, so YEAH!!!
Anyway, I am the shortest one in my family, on my mom's size. My brother is about 6'4-6'5, my mom is 6'0, my uncles are 6'1-6'3, my grandmother and grandfather are/were 6'0 and 6'1. And according to my doctor, if I didnt have scoliosis, I would be about 6'3. My daughter is 5'8 and she is 11.
I was just stuck by the window and watered often. I am doing the same with my kids.
| Tall Guys Posted: 11/11/2008 4:13:22 PM | | If height is an issue why is it not in your profile? Now I know age is an issue for you. | |
