i smoked while i was pregnant
Well, THAT shows some responsibility, doesn't it? I'm an advocate for legalizing pot, but smoking while you were pregnant? And you KNEW you were pregnant? That is so freaking stupid. And then to turn around and say you don't smoke it in FRONT of him? So it was ok to smoke it while he was INSIDE your body, but not in front of him... how hypocritical could you be? | |

There is so much wrong with this comment, I think Ill leave it alone.
In this day and age, we all know the risks and defects that can come from smoking cigs AND pot while pregnant. Including alcohol.
I think you have lost way too many brain cells smoking your s.hit to realize this. Either that, or you are just plain stupid. Yeah, Ill go with the last.

That should be grounds for all KINDS of legal action. 
In answer to the folks who say "you kids can find stuff." or even "what if they walk in". I'll say this. Growing up, I knew firsthand of a LOT of things that were for "grown folks". Do as I say, not as I do type of things. Didn't hurt me not one bit and I knew my place.
I am TOTALLY against doing something like this in front of your child. But worse case scenario, does the kid even know its weed? I mean..c'mon. Older kids, sure. You gotta be careful. | |

Im 7 months pregnant and To even CONSIDER having a smoke even makes me sick to my stomach at the thought of having that running through mt babys veins...ICK!@  | |

Regardless if you believe it cures all life's ills etc, bottom line it makes you unable to properly care for your kids should you need to drive, care for a sick child etc., just as drinking to excess would. Do it on your own time, just as you would getting tipsy etc., and save any philosophical speeches on its use for when your kids are older (i.e. late teens). | |

I have not heard one good arguement FOR drug use. All I have heard is one smokes it to relax, and MY response is, why not choose another activity to relax?
Running/jogging, taking a bubble bath, read a book, call a friend, take your child to the park or anywhere else, etc.
There are MILLIONS of activities one can do after a "hard day at work". Why self medicate yourself to deal with what US SINGLE PARENTS do everyday? Life is hard. So when it seems as if its unbearable, grab the bull by the horns, suck it up, and go about your life. One doesnt NEED to toke it up to FEEL mellow.
Other than for cancer patients, there is no reason an able bodied healthy person needs to smoke mariquana. If you arent dying of cancer, chose another legal source as an outlet.
I freaking LAUGH when those who are FOR pot ACTUALLY bring up medicinal use. Uhm, you arent DYING of cancer. Try another excuse and cop out. One that actually fits YOU. Not a cancer patient. (insert loser icon here) | |

Like all blase' and who gives a crap ect....
Most of the single moms I know that DO SMOKE UP... are not the "best" kind of citizens..to put it nicely.. I dont want to bash and trash them...but thier living style is awful.
It really really hurts me when i see them toking up near thier kids..or rolling nearby...or thier house stinks...IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU DO IT IN THE BASEMENT..your house still smells like an amsterdam bar for figs sake!!!
Its irresponsibilty and immaturity that i cant stand. Great wonderful your kids and my kids play...but I cant stand the way thier parents think that its OK.  | |

Concerns over the impressionability of today's youth are common, but nobody would have expected to see what police in Watauga, Texas did when they uncovered an extremely disturbing videotape last month.
They say it shows a 17-year-old teaching two of his nephews to smoke marijuana, and the boys in question are just two and five years old.
"I've never seen anything like this, quite so disturbing," said Bruce Ure of the Watauga Police Department.
"They have scarred them and it's absolutely horrific."
According to authorities in the town, which is near Dallas, a man is seen on the videotape placing a marijuana cigarette into the younger child's mouth while in another part of the video the other boy is shown smoking on his own.
Police found the tape last month while investigating some burglaries and quickly slapped the 17-year-old with a felony charge of injury to a child.
"Our children count on us to protect them, these individuals did everything but protect those children," Ure added.
An 18-year-old who also appears on the tape faces additional burglary charges. | |

They had thes HUGE doobies in there mouths and were lighting them for these kids. WOW poor poor little ones I feel so bad. And that was there own family flesh and blood that did that to them. Sheesh no wonder parents are so freked out about leaving there kids with anyone.....cant trust nobody! | |

Yup. And again, for those reasons, it may be legal. However, if you dont have any of those LEGIT ailments, find another outlet on how you deal with life.

Posted: 3/8/2007 7:40:08 AM | the real issue is the affect on kids ,my children after the divorce rebelled against both parents for quite sometime , but my daughteris doing super as age and her knowing that her parents were still there for her even though not as a whole ,she has carried a 4.0 through high school and her second year of college very proud dad , on the other hand my son whois much younger is still struggling with bitterness from us both and his grandparents as well he sneaks around smoking cigarettes and drinking beer and has tried a few drugs according to his friends and has been associated with the wrong crowds wher peer pressure has gotten himin trouble for stealing , he fights at school skips when he thinks he is able to get by with it but i have him now and its a battle from time to time but slowly im making head way , i was able to get a pass word from the school and i can get on the net pull up his classes every day and see if he is accounted for i can check his grade on daily basis and if he is falling behind the teachers are more than willing to help by giving extra assignments so he can raise his grades but it is by no means an easytask because he is very manipulative and not an easy child to communicate to (sorry he got that from his mom ) he absolutely dont want anything to do with his mother and she constantly blames me for his bitterness toward her , i wasnt the one that cheated and left my children for a married man at there grandmothers , i wast the one who called my son a liar when he was telling everyone who she was sneaking around seeing so he thought the whole town new , but i didnt give up on my kids i could have done like some of te other guys out there and went on with life found anothr woman and just saw my kids when i could but i didnt i chose to wait try to get my children secure again and then look for someone else its been almost six years and things are moving in right direction again my son is still struggling a little but its getting a lot bettere and gues what i have been on a few dates inpast two or three months so my suggestion is be careful what you do and say around children we are there role model and i am by no means perfect but i havent stopped learning myself either , just enjoy raising your children they are our future and when you get blessed as i have with great kids there is no better feeling in this world ,i got the rest of my life to find a special lady  | |

They are not pleasant people, many are overworked, and they treat you as just a "number". As far as I am concerned, they ride the A$$es of the good parents, and not the sicko, perverted ones, that are actually burning and molesting their children!
If you are not hurting anyone, and it does actually help you to raise your children better, and you do do promote, nor condone it, nor do it in front of the kids, then what does it matter? Yes, it is illegal, but why, legalize it, and make some money! Save money, on all the cops.
Pot is used for many reasons, and only the young use to get the "high".
By the way --I do not smoke pot! Just know alot who do, and WHY!
