| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/14/2005 11:50:00 AM | cal would probably finish second in the Texas and Little 11 conference. they do have some talent. how about UCLA and Oregon. i don't see three teams in the Little 11 that come close to those three teams. Colorado, come on. Texas Tech, laugh. Texas A&M, more laughs. i will go out on a limb and say that the Little 11 does not win a single bowl game. Miami, is right now, the best team in the country. if either Texas or USC slips, they get in. and they win. Penn State could have made an argument if they had run the table, but they didn't. big 10 is the best conference out there. with only two undefeated teams, the BCS comes out smelling like a rose. if we had a playoff, i bet the ranch on Miami. oh, and looking at schedules. is that Louisiana- lafayette and Rice on the Texas schedule. add baylor, kansas and the other also rans and how could they NOT be undefeated. yes, they played Ohio State, and we all know what should have happened there. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/14/2005 12:01:42 PM | | Shoulda, woulda, coulda....the polls aren't based on what SHOULD have happened...Penn State SHOULD have beaten my Wolverines, but they didn't...look, I agree with you on the teams that Texas has beaten...but they are undefeated, they are in a major conference, and they have beaten what was at the time 2 top 10 teams... | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/14/2005 12:43:42 PM | who is longhorns?????? sorry NEB people dont know who longhorns are | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/14/2005 12:51:06 PM | so put it all together and it spells BLOWOUT. USC scores 50+ in second straight championship game. BCS doesn't care about "at the time top 10 teams". that is why they update every week. if Penn State had beaten Michigan, they would have a good argument for #2. i agree, they didn't, so they don't. how about my Black Knights beating up on UMass. i know, they are a IAA team, but they were 7-2 coming into the game. Michie Stadium about 3/4 full. it's sad, one sell out all season. next week, Arkansas State comes to the point. could we be heading into the Navy game with four wins? | |
| |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/18/2005 11:36:31 AM | | i will be leaving for west point in an hour or so. driving the winnebago up and staying overnight. it's the only way to go. we could be on a four game win streak going into the Army-Navy tussle. | |

| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/21/2005 7:45:02 AM | hell with dynasty, lets just beat navy first.
GO ARMY.........BEAT navy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/21/2005 5:24:28 PM | | As a Wolverine fan, I have a horn to pick with them cows. they aren't greatest team in the nation, but they would do for now. nonetheless, vince young's arm is spaghetti. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/23/2005 3:13:29 PM |
nonetheless, vince young's arm is spaghetti.
Do you really know what you are talk about? Maybe you have mistaken his arm for yours.
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/23/2005 3:53:45 PM | | No. I have seen him beat Michigan scrambling like every other game, but not with his arm. Lets not act like Young is a profilic passer. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/27/2005 6:55:49 AM | | Prolific passer and spaghetti arm are two different things. Is he a prolific passer? No, not like Leinart(sp?) or even Brady Quinn from ND. Does he have a spaghetti arm? Dude, have you ever seen him throw a ball? He has a freakin' cannon, he just hasn't completely learned how to control it yet. Saw him in high school, very strong arm. His motion looks goofy, but he can throw from different angles, and a flick of the wrist has the ball sailing about 40 yards downfield. Spaghetti arm? No. Prolific passer? No. Can put a team on his shoulders and carry them to victory? Absolutely. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/27/2005 2:52:40 PM | We beat michigan and then came back and beat your fiercest rival in Ohio State...what else must we do to your conference? | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/27/2005 7:22:34 PM | | Actually, Ohio State beat Ohio State. In my book, even though they are undefeated, Texas is overrated. I would put them at #5. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/29/2005 4:54:37 PM | You're going to put an undefeated team below 3 teams that are not undefeated? Sorry, Texas is where they belong. USC, now that's an overrated team. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 11/29/2005 7:09:53 PM | | Texas sucks, there is no way around it. They have played NOBODY, and we all know that they should have lost to Ohio State. Didn't BYU finish undefeated not to long ago and end up ranked #12? They played better teams than Texas played this year. Two years ago Texas got snubbed by the BCS. Mack Brown moaned and complained to everyone that would listen. Last year they played in the Rose Bowl (I guess it worked) so this year they were ranked high to start the season. Do they deserve something for being undefeated? Yes. Are they the second best team in college football? NO. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/3/2005 11:27:53 AM | | Easy Timmy....looks like Texas likes the smell of roses....poor poor Colorado.... | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/3/2005 12:29:10 PM | Wow....so, how do you like your Buffalo burgers cooked....medium well or well done? Cause it looks like Texas is gonna keep lighting that fire.....this little guy needs to be in Colorado's huddle...... | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/3/2005 3:24:27 PM | | holly crap batman did you just see what the longhorns did to colorado...not even close ... | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/3/2005 9:16:00 PM | | Yeah, they had their 3rd string in too. Colorado just sucks. They won't be able to do that to USC though. Better enjoy it now. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 12:43:16 AM | | my dad was in the navy..wwii..we watch the army/ navy every year ......GO NAVY...every conferance has weak teams..and the bcs is nothing but politics anyway... | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 4:24:22 AM | | Wow. Horns are averaging 50.9 points per game, USC is averaging 50.2 or .3 a game.....this is gonna be a fun game. I don't even care who wins, I just want it to be the best game of the year. Poor poor defenses..... | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 8:23:26 AM | USC easily wins this game by 30+ points. Texas has played very weak teams all year long. Yes, all conferences have some weak teams, but the Big 12 has 11 of them. No dought, USC has played a better schedeule. I think all of the matchups in the BCS are boring. Penn State vs. Florida State, only to match up the coaches. Georgia vs. West Virginia Notre Dame and Ohio State or Oregon. I think I may have to wash the dishes that day. I am tired of BCS bowls that are blowouts, it's time for a playoff in division I football.
ARMY fans | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 8:26:34 AM | | I agree with the playoff Timmy, but I still have to disagree on the blowout between USC and Texas. I actually think we might get a good game this time. Again, don't care who wins, just want a GOOD GAME that goes to the wire....like last year's Rose Bowl between Texas and my Wolverines....sad Michigan lost, but it was a great game. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 9:54:12 AM | | There will be some games that go down to the wire, sadly though, they will not be the BCS games. Texas hasn't seen anyone close to USC. Yes, it's easy to put up points against Rice and Baylor, but now we're talking USC. I will stick with my 30+ point win. | |
