| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 9:58:44 AM | | I guess it is easy to put up points against Fresno State and UCLA as well. I mean, you play USC to a 50-42 game, lose it in the final minutes, then get beat by Nevada and LA Tech? LA TECH??? And UCLA, how many points did they give up to Arizona? 50ish, I believe? Arizona....*slowly shakes head*....wow. Now there's a team to reckon with. The mighty mighty Wildcats. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 10:12:36 AM | | Ah, but you forget Oregon and Arizona State. Even UCLA, is better than what Texas has played, with the exception of Ohio State. Hey, even Oklahoma lost to TCU. Then didn't Texas Tech, who was somehow ranked #7, lose to Oklahoma State. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 10:35:39 AM | | No no, don't get me wrong. I agree that the Big 12 is down this year. Never doubted that. Texas Tech has a flash in the pan offense that is easily taken down with a somewhat decent defense. Oklahoma lost way too many O-line players to be any good this year, plus they needed a year for Bomar to get his feet wet. I give you all of that. I just want a good game, and I think we will get it this year. Both teams have explosive offenses, even if Texas was in a worse conference this year. Like the argument I had with Rebel, you can't base it on other teams played. Wasn't Miami supposed to totally annihiliate Ohio State a few years ago? Wasn't VA Tech supposed to beat the dog snot out of FSU last night? Or LSU beat Georgia? Just askin'..... | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/4/2005 11:05:49 AM | | hey: the rose bowl could be a 21-17 snoozer with the defenses doing all the damage..wouldnt that be a kicker..... | |

| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/5/2005 2:05:32 PM | hey why not ...TEXAS has to win ...all glory to mac brown...v. young will run wild
TEXAS 48

| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/5/2005 3:51:16 PM | Whatever your smokin', it's workin'. Texas has NO shot. They can't stop Reggie Bush. They can't stop Matt Liennert. They can't stop Lendell White. They can't stop Dwayne Jarrett. USC will stop Vince Young. That's the problem with having only ONE weapon. Texas defense is way to weak. Bush goes for 250 yards. (with Heisman in hand) Liennert throws for 350. Dwayne Jarrett gets 10 grabs for 140 yards. White rushes for another 150. It's de ja vu, all over again. | |

| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/5/2005 4:24:23 PM | | hey tin man what ever you are smoking give me some...the longhorns will only need young...the rest of the team can rest on the sideline...texas will make reggie bush glad he is going to the nfl.............. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 4:41:53 AM | Yes...dog snot. Kind of like what Navy knocked out of Army this year. Dog snot. Say it, it's fun....dog snot. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 6:17:59 AM | The rest of the team has been on the sidelines all season. If not for the soft schedule, Texas is not even here. And isn't this really a HOME game for USC. Yep, it's not going to be pretty.
Mdelong, not dog shot, mule snot. Our mascots are mules. I froze for that. Lots of talk about "Ross is not the guy". This could get ugly.
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 6:39:46 AM | | I know, which is sad because he has done a pretty good job there so far. Tough to recruit there. The coach is kind of limited on who he can recruit. Oh well, nature of the business. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 7:04:38 AM | | I think he just has the wrong philosophy. You can't have a passing based offense at the academies. You just don't get the good quarterbacks. Navy has done it right, recruiting the big fullback and letting him carry people down the field. Also, Ross has hired his son as the offensive coordinator. BAD move. I think if they keep Ross, they need to clean house with the other coaches. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 7:39:31 AM | | I agree. The last good quarterback there was a kid that grew up about 10 minutes from me, Ronnie McAda. He was a very good option quarterback, and that was really the last time Army had some decent teams, I think. I could be wrong on the decent teams thing. And did you notice where the fullback for Navy was from? Seems the DFW area has a lot of kids going to the academies.....McAda, the kid from Navy, the quarterback from the Air Force a few years ago (Beau something or other).... | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 8:36:00 AM | | must be something in the water. McAda was a good quarterback. Dahman, the QB now, has set all kinds of passing records for West Point, but come on, when you are down 21 points every game those passing numbers rise quick. It's also hard because of size. You don't see any 300 pound lineman at West Point. That is the reason they need to go back to the option. They are always the smaller team. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 1:12:54 PM | CAN THE GREAT LONGHORNES BEAT USC???
i F YOU SID DOWN AND REALLY START TO TLOOK AT THE WAY BOTH OF THEESE TEAMS PLAY I THIN KIT IS GOING TO COME DOWN TO ONE THING, DEFENCE.
AND THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT UT'S DEFENCE IS ONE OF THE GREATIST IN SCHOOL HISTORY, AND THE OFFENCE IS EXPLOCIVE ENOUGHT TO SCORE WITH USC. I SEE IT BEING A HIGH SCOREING GAME AND THE LONGHORNES ON TOP BY NO MORE THAN SEVEN, BUT HELL WHAT DO I KNWO I AM A FAN.
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 2:02:47 PM | | you know a least i have enough class to call everyone by their name...my dad was in the navy ...WWII....saw action, almost git his ass blownoff...if you can not show me any respect, show it to my dad...@ssholes.......... | |

| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 2:54:12 PM | | Timman....sigh...you dog the Big12 horribly for one season...how sad....but oh well...this is one of those nat'l championships that will bore us to tears! As I have said all along..UT should NEVER lose a game EVER. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/6/2005 7:26:04 PM | | Hey, if the conference has nothing then it deserves to be dogged. Usually, there is Texas and Oklahoma. The Sooners will be back next year. Not every conference can be the Big 10. | |
| |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/7/2005 4:41:30 AM | | Um, Dogshow, what are you talking about? Please don't think Timmy and I were calling you dog snot. I was referring to the beatings that VA Tech received from FSU and the one Army received from Navy. You just happen to have a screen name close to that. Sorry for the confusion dude. | |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/7/2005 5:59:13 AM | There you go, pissing everybody off again. Can't we all just get along? (at least until Christmas) | |
| |
| How about them Longhorns Posted: 12/7/2005 6:45:05 AM | | obviously a futbol player, er soccer joey. Yes, the Big 10. Hell, Northwestern could have won the Big 12 this year. Even with Oklahoma back next year, two teams, does not a conference make. | |
