He drove some beaten up huge making out van that was all that to him.
Do I like a man who drives a nice car! most definately! would i say it is a deal maker /breaker? not sure! guess I am materialistic? or possibly shallow! oh well, its me!

| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/4/2005 11:00:04 AM | It doesn't matter to me...........
I've recently upgraded myself from a 1990 Jetta to a 1992 Jetta. If someone wouldn't date me because my car isn't new then i couldn't care less. I would rather have an older vehicle and a few bucks in my wallet than a shiny new car i can't afford to drive anywhere's.

You have a great personality and great advise. If you like nice cars that is what you like. I just think the guy behind the wheel is more important than the car he drives.

Posted: 10/4/2005 11:13:43 AM | pagey,, thank you , yes I do like nice cars, for myself, beings i own one, I really dont care what he drives, but I do admire a nice one. However that said, the man that i referred to in my post as a jerk, ..... well he didnt have a personality either. It wouldnt have mattered if he drove a Viper! It wasnt going to work for me!
I am going for the man first ! his heart is more important than any engine could be. Cars are alot like people shiny on the outside .... never know whats under the hood.
Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine?
On a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside LOL (sorry Bimmer drivers)

Posted: 10/4/2005 11:28:25 AM | | come on calendargirl dont back peddle, you like the cars and its the first thing you see, nothing wrong with that just be ready for the consequences.i personally would love a very narrow car so i could whip both my arms out the window at the same time haha.on the same token i cant stand guys who bitch women are after their money and they pick them up in their sports or luxury cars, rent a cavalier and see how she reacts if you want the truth, pull out the Benz once she likes you for you and shut up about it already lol

| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/4/2005 1:06:39 PM | | This is such a funny topic. I know many women judge a man by what they drive. I drive a Toyota 4x4 and love my truck as it gets me from point A to point B. Its nothing special but I do keep it in good shape and do a lot of 4x4ing with it. Many times I go to the local beaches and sit and have a coffee but I never have any girls come up wanting to be with me. Well one day after I had a break up and I was in a woman hating day and just wanted to have a me day I went to this exotic car rental place and rented this Lotus Esprite V8. Such a lovely car to drive I have to admit. Well I was just out having fun in it and enjoying the day to myself. Well like I normally do I stopped at my favorite beach spot to drink my coffee. I was absolutely amazed at how many gorgeous women came up to me and started to talk to me. Many asked me if I would take them for a ride. Well since I was in a woman hating mood I made the rude comments to these girls that I would take them for a ride if they rode me first. I was absolutely floored by how many of them said yes. They didn't know me from a hole in the ground and were only looking at the car. Damn they didn't even know it was just a rental. So yes I would have to say that women do judge a man by what he drives as I have never once had some good looking lady come up to me while I was sitting there in my truck and its not a rust bucket either. You all have a good day. | |

Posted: 10/4/2005 1:58:51 PM | | I would still say if the guy behind that wheel had a moustache, a hairy chest and a great personality and could treat me like I was special, wow because cars mean nothing as long as he was special. The looks of a fellow are more important to me than his car. Number 1 tho is his personality. Sure I would still hope the car could run. Maybe its my age that causes me to feel as I do.

| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/4/2005 3:06:19 PM | | hey kindheart, what about the women who didn't approach you either time? You can't judge an entire gender on the shallow, superficial ones. That'd be like me saying all guys want Pamela Anderson lookalikes because so many dumbasses chase her so hard. | |

| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/6/2005 5:52:57 AM | No i wont judge a man on what kind of a vehicle he drives, but i also agree that how clean he keeps his car is a reflection om himself.
I drive what is probably considered an old lady's car (98 Buick Century Limited Ed.), but hey,,she runs great,,looks great and gets me to work every night, even in the coldest of winter (michigan winters can be brutal) . lol

| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/6/2005 11:23:54 AM | I drive a silver 2002 Sunfire and I love it. Its a great little car; I keep it in good condition and so far, it hasen't given me any problems. I think it had about 25 thousand kilometers on it when I got it...it has about 111 thousand now. For some reason, women like my car. Maybe because its all shiny inside and smells like pine needles. Funny thing is, I don't have an air freshener in there. Creepy.
I've got a friend that drives an old Mustang. I'm not too sure on the exact year, but its a mid 80's car. Its in pretty bad shape and likes to randomly die on him, usually while going around a corner. He named it Foxtrot Charlie for some reason. No one except him actually likes that car; its a four wheeled monstrosity and man, if he takes a date out with that thing, the woman almost always makes fun of him for it. Not in a mean way, just jokingly. He always rubs the dashboard and goes, "There, there Foxy. Its okay. I still wuv you!"
