| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/6/2005 3:20:27 PM | no but it does say a lot about them just the same.
flash expensive cars dont equate with being financially sensible in a lot of people's books. At the same time, a scratched beat up banger sends a different message.
But that is only one aspect of a person.

He might have a nice car and I'll think, Oh, that's a nice car. But that's as much as it would mean to me--like saying, "Oh, you have a nice grill on your patio." I'm way more impressed by what's going on in a guy's head (if there's an echo in there, I'm out of here!)

I have 4 cars, and it's fun to pull up in my everyday 87 Olds(mint condition BTW) and check out the girl's reaction when we first meet. I like to see if she is after me, or my pocket book . If there is a next time, I would pull up in my suped "Legend" or 3-series BMW.........if I really like her, pull up in my candy apple red Corvette It's interesting to see there reaction! Want to ride in an everyday, luxury or sporty car? Depends if you really like this woman If I happen to see a woman pulling up in a hot car, I would be mighty impressed. Just ask her if she knows what she is pulling under the hood

| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/6/2005 8:25:50 PM | How stupid is that, to judge someone by what they drive? Ok, let me say this... if they judge me by what vehicle I *would like to* own, then fine... after all that shows my taste, and possibly tells them a little bit about myself.
But... I drive an old car, cause Im young and started out poor and instead of getting into debt at an early age, I save money for later, to get an education, to get somewhere in life. And dont get me wrong... I love my car! It has dents and scratches and is old.... but I paid for it, its my first, and I fix it when something goes wrong, and in return it gets me to work and back so I can make a living.

Saw one like it for sale on the net from Florida...guy wanted more in US dollars than I paid for mine...and in the same shape. (Real good) It has a couple dings and scratches now....hopefully will be able to do something about that when I get a few bucks together...but till then...she runs well. Thing is...it gets us where we're going...and feels safe. Not too bad on gas....so, I really can't complain. (Will anyway...complain that is...but hey...LOL!)

I can identify VW beetles and Hummers - those in between are pretty much just sort of generic "cars" to me, so what a guy is driving is not going to be an issue. He'll have to find another way to impress me - say, having a nice smile.

| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/7/2005 4:32:42 PM | | I don't really care what of vehicle a guy drives....as long as they have something to drive and it's reliable. I did date a guy that didn't have a car and that got old real quick. I do ask what kind of vehicle they drive because it is a hint as to the type of person that they are....just like what kind of work they do and if they like their job. I also ask what kind of family they grew up it, favorite color, favorite food...all sorts of stuff. To me, it just part of the process of getting to know someone. I know some guys think if a woman asks what kind of car they drive and what they do for a living they think they're trying to figure out their bank account...I just want to know who they are and if we're compatible. | |

Posted: 10/7/2005 11:04:56 PM | hmmmmmmm well you know what we called women who went out with guys because they had a nice vehicle?? we called them tire biters. personally myself i dont care what you look like or what you drive its who you are that counts!! Women who think that a car makes a man are never going to be satisfied with the man that makes the car. " they always have something to prove".

| Do women judge a person from the vehicle they drive? Posted: 10/8/2005 1:14:29 PM | | I personally enjoy having a nice car, and it doesn't define who I am or anything like that, I just like it. I don't care if someone shows up in a not-so-stylish car, as long as it's clean and well maintained... but I must say I do enjoy riding in a really nice car with all the bells and whisltes.. it's fun ;-) I would not judge someone based on that, one way or another... sometimes people have nice cars and are totally maxed out because of it! Then some people have had all of that, still could, but have moved into a place where they keep it simple. They don't need to impress anyone with an $800 car payment, and they have money in the BANK! The status is just not that important to them, and that is attractive. You can't determine financial state based on what someone drives... you can be living paycheck to paycheck and still lease a Jag... | |

Posted: 10/8/2005 7:41:30 PM | | I don't care what type of car my date has as long as it is fairly clean on the inside and I don't have to MOVE things to sit down. I have the fast, hot looking car and am proud of it. Not everyone has the desire or financial means to have the same, so as long as the car will run, that is fine with me. If the guy is a gentleman and opens the car door, then I feel that is a bonus. How my date treats me and feels about me is far more important than the things that he has or owns.
