RaceChik20..........you kill me..........its not luck when you lead in the points through some of the season and are just over 50 points behind coming into the final race. That takes skill driving and team work in the pits.
where is electroo .......we need to convert this chick before the race begins.

As for Johnson...like I said....put him with another team and he will no longer have the car...so his luck would run out quickly elsewhere. His pit crew is Hendrick's crew....w/o Hendrick's Johnson would go nowhere! He's not a good enough driver! Sorry...just my thoughts!

Tony is not going to win becuse he gets easily frustrated and upset. Part of racing is mind games. Someone on the track is going to get him mad and he will do something stupid and wreck his car......in other words........ his weakness will be his down fall.

Not sure I agree with ya tho about Jimmy running for another team. But lately, with no more loyalty than there seems to be in Nascar, someone with more cash will flow by Jimmy and he might jump ship. Think about that one!!!
Alarm ~ You're welcome to come on board the Hendrick camp this weekend... we'll give ya a one weekend pass for this week only!!! you can go back to rooting for Dale Jr next season as it will be a great battle cause Jeff is on his DRIVE FOR FIVE!!! And Little E just wants to try to win a race.... LOL GOTCHA THERE!
Oh Race Chik... I repaired the voodoo RC again... good thing I never claimed to be a good welder!!! Not sure this would pass tech!!! But it will withstand a 20mph hit into the wall... already tested her out!!!

Posted: 11/17/2005 4:36:26 PM | RaceChik20......nice contradiction.......Where do you think Tony Stewart would be without Joe Gibs Racing and HomeDepot sponsorship pumping millions of dollars into the program. That is part of the reason why these teams are at the top. It takes financial support to have a good car and crew , without that neither of them would do this well.

Jeff still might make an appearance if he can get the million dollar bonus after this week... but has a very narrow margin. But if he wins like we all know he will, LOL He will get the Million!

The MAN can drive and control his temper. He also uses his temper to his benefit! Now as for the Johnson GIRL, he's only there for the money.....not for the love of the race! Point blank!
And NO MATTER what happens, even if by some odd stroke of LUCK...yes luck....Johnson does win....it would never convince me to switch sides. It's futile for you to try to convince me dear, because it will never and I repeat, will never happen! So I'm sorry you need some women rooting for Johnson but it won't be this woman!!

And I'm reading a new book I found the other day ...it was written in 2001 about Sr. and it's great. I picked it up at this book sale and it's so good. It's by Leigh Montville (a writer for Sports Illustrated) and it's called " At The Altar Of Speed" The Fast Life and Tragic Death of Dale Earnhardt. I've read a lot of books about Sr. but this one is different. It's in the perspective of the commentators and sportscasters and it's really sad but also great.

He has the money and the popularity to pretty much drive for whomever he wants. He has chosen to stay with Gibbs. Yes....money is what it's all about these days and I personally don't think Tony will remain in the Nascar series much longer due to the fact that he's sick of the bullsh** that is now overtaking Nascar! Tony owns Eldora Speedway and has moved back home to Indiana ( No better place in the world!!) and is going back to the grass roots of racing! Home Depot has remained with Tony through thick and thin.....why?....Because they know he's a champ!
Personal opinion....and I know Sinjia disagrees with me on this but.....Take Johnson away from Hendrick...put him with Gibbs, Penske....or Yates or any other smaller stable and he will not succeed as well as he has for Hendrick. Why? because he can't take a car that doesn't have the money in it like the Hendrick cars do and drive it to Victory Lane. Why? Because he can't drive as well as Tony. Put Tony in someone else's car for 2 months and I could almost guarantee a victory. Why? Because Tony Stewart can drive anything! Put that man behind a John Deere tractor and he'll blow your doors off!
And that's all I have to say about that!

Tony has tallent, I'll give him that, but a huge part of his success comes from his relationship with Zippy! I'm not talking about the "personal" relationship either......LOL!! I've said it before that there are only a few driver\crewchiefs that have it right now and Tony is one. However, I think Jimmie and Chad have the best in Nextel cup right now........That's my take...

BUT.......I think that even at this point in Tony's life and career...if he had to do w/o Zippy for 2 months, he could still take almost ANY car to victory lane.
As for Jimmie and Chad......well that's a whole other ball game! We've had this discussion before! But to a degree I think that they do have good relationship too.

Tommy is a great crew chief and I was impressed by Ray's comment that he would back and try to help Tommy the same way Rick Hendrick did him.....Sows there still are a few good people left....
