MAN, what a boring ass race that was.... it I didn't know a thing or two about racing I'dve fallen asleep out there in the sun. But watching the nuances was exciting enough for me!
I'm giving SuperG the nod, because his point totals are soooo high and he's driving like he owns it this year.
Smoke whining, I mean WINNING yesterday will put more 'wacky' in his pipe, so we'll see how he produces in the next remaining weeks....
If Jr. doesn't pull a win out of his hat soon, he's gonna do the "see ya dance" without a win for Bud, the color red and DEI this year..... and that'll be sad for the great majority.
Not me. Me want Ham.
Since my Biff is already driving for Domino's, I've all but given up on my earlier prediction. Poor Biff.... what the hell happened to him this year?!?! Ain't good for nuthin' but a timely pizza delivery on Sundays.... | |

Johnson,Burton unless the DEI guys have a little luck go there way both Truex Jr and Jr were doing good until problems came up, with Jr losing his power steering and driving like popeye, seven more before the cut off for the chase. | |

Super G's points are pretty sturdy, so that's prolly as sure as a hurricane in the ocean...
What about those on the cusp? What do you all think about the guys hangin' on by a tire?
Will the Biffster pull it out here in the end? Will Truex make a name for himself this year? What about Juan Race Car Driver?? Can Kasey stay away from all the other cars and finally finish a race? What about JJ this year..... (Lucky?)
It's time to come out of hiding and get your written word down....

Posted: 8/3/2007 8:09:57 PM | I think Jeff G will most likely win but quite possible Denny if his pit crew gets er done could put up a good fight also a guy quietly sitting up there is Jeff Burton he`s been pretty steady up there.
I think outside chance could be Truex Jr or even Dale Jr if his engines don`t give out on him,could possibly see Ryan Newman make it in to top twelve I think a guy that could fade is the #07 .
I think Dale Jr will make to top 6 in the chase he`s been running good just has had the bad luck with engines. | |

I'm not so sure he bounced out, but like Av said, if he can get a car worth driving he might do well this week!
Smoke's squabble with ESPN is a hoot! Since when are ANY of these guys role models?
Here's something for conversation.... 'cause if you'll remember back to Sonoma, when Kyle used an expletive remark and got his wrist slapped... it was just that....
Now when Smoke lets one loose RIGHT AFTER A WIN he's a loose cannon???
WHO MAKES THESE GUYS ROLE MODELS?!?! Just because they're in the public eye because of the media doesn't make them role models.
They're athletes, drivers....part of a team.... but NO ONE is a role model unless they CHOOSE to be....

Hearing that NASCAR will suspend Robby Gordon from Sunday's Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono for his actions in Saturday's Busch race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. P.J. Jones practiced the #7 Saturday at Pocono and would be the likely substitute driver.(8-4-2007)
UPDATE: NASCAR is still evaluating whether Robby Gordon will be allowed to compete in the Pennsylvania 500 on Sunday at Pocono Raceway after not following NASCAR orders as well as getting into the back of race leader Marcos Ambrose on a green-white-checkered restart Saturday in the NAPA Auto Parts 200 in Montreal. | |

Spent the weekend camping in the infield with my son...
Man...no one could beat Kurt Busch all day, and Junior battled back from handling problems to pull out a 2nd...but still dropped from 12th to 13th in points...
I actually saw on the Wind Tunnel show on Speedchannel last night when I got back that someone called in and said they thought that Junior spun out on purpose so he could get a yellow and change the front shocks...hehe...Hmmmm ?? Don't know, but stranger things have happened before...
Gordo looked good and consistant...he keeps racking up these top 5 finishes and he'll be tough to beat for the championship...
Very good race I thought, and the ARCA race was good as well on Saturday with a hell of a wreck in turn 2 where I was at...a local guy, Bobby Gerhart, was taken to the hospital...I don't know how he's doing, though...

Posted: 8/11/2007 12:41:12 AM | You know looks like MagE is going to be the one but if Denny`s pit crew did`nt mess up a few times things would be a little closer but anything can happen I think Denny has a good chance if he has good finishes for the rest of the races up to the final ten,I still think Dale Jr will make the chase he has been up in the top 5-10 most races if it was`nt for his engines going or his power steering going on him he would be up higher
