Posted: 8/22/2007 2:02:14 PM | Can you guys see my grin from here? No? Of course not. I pissed away $500 this weekend to go see a bunch of souvenir haulers. Arghhh. Glad I didn't upgrade my seats to the champions club after all. I called and they said they had some and would call me back. Three days later I called and they were sold out. Whew. Saved $380 a ticket. I got a cool yellow 29 hat, but nothing in the other trailers. Everything but diecast's were 50% off at the Jr trailer. Irony is that the lineups were 8 rednecks deep. :)
Anyway, congratulations to Kurt Busch. So far you are only 20 points out of first place. Nice you didn't have to run over anyone to get your win, or take it because someone overdrove in to turn one. *snicker* Just another good dominant performance and great momentum.
It'll be hard to beat Jeff and Tony but I don't see anyone else with the right momentum. Kenseth, although 3rd is like watching paint dry. Their strategy might work for the regular season but only 8 top fives isn't that great. Denny has an outside chance and if Kurt can keep winning, Truex Jr will seemingly keep getting 175 points. haha.
The year is not Jr's. He should be a shoe in next year though.
Go #2 and #5. Show those sissy boys they wear the skirts. :)  | |

Posted: 8/22/2007 8:23:20 PM | I think once they reset points for the chase Jeff G & Jimmie J,Smoke will have best advantage if it was set today by wins both Jeff G & Jimmie J have 4 wins each Smoke with 3 wins,so they will get extra 10 points for each win.
But you can`t count out Denny or Kenseth or even Jeff B #31 , Truex Jr has been running good the rest need alot to go right for them, my guy Dale Jr has been running good but the engine going at the Glen made it tough for him with the blue #2 coming on strong but as they say anything can happen in racing, I hope Dale Jr has a good run at Bristol and the remaining races. | |

Let's hope he finds a number with an 8 in it, so they don't have to have them all erased, just added to!
Cracks me up just thinking about it! 
Super G will be the most dominant in the Chase with Smoke on his heels in a fit of, well, SMOKE....
Hamlin has a good chance if he can get his wins in... consistency only gets ya so far!!
Truex has been my hero through this all. I wanted to see McMurray do well this year, and he did better than most expected, but not good enough.

Lakeman said it in another thread, that Bristol will be payback time. I agree! A lot of drivers with axes to grind will get their chance to rub some paint.
Look for Smoke and Juan RaceCarDriver to get into it. And Harvick and Juan RaceCarDriver, and .... oh puleez, look for ALL the drivers to go after JPM!! That boy is gonna be driving like he stole it, and it's gonna make for some really great running!!
Bristol is gonna be a rock 'em, sock 'em good time and I for one would kill to be there!!!

Posted: 8/24/2007 7:19:20 AM | OK all, Bristol is a whole new creature. It's not just gonna be a corners race this time with the new surface. They are raceing harder and faster and all the way around the track. I was at the truck race and they were wrecking in the straits as well as the corners.

OMG...There is going to be some paint trading tomorrow!! Juan would better get his donkey weaving and bobbing because its PAY DAY!! The Chase at this point is really tight for Junior so..he needs to squeeze through quietly and get a good top five while the rest are killing each other. Bristol is always impossible to predict because of the attrition rate. #8,#11, #24,20,#01...should do well if they survive the gauntlet!!   | |

Me thinks Bowyer did a great job of keepin' it real on the new track. I'm surprised the beginning was so damn boring, as the Busch race was like demolition derby!!
But the minute I said something to MagE, all hell broke loose!! First Denny's car went up in smoke, then the Eric A./J. Almendinger (sic) crash..... and it was down hill from there.
DAMN ESPN!! Bring it back to normal channels to the rest of us poor white folks can watch!! lol

Just go to nascar.com and at race time you can click on the spot where it says live feed right in the middle of the page and the window will come up. Click on the play> arrow if it is not started already and wait for it to come on. It takes a little time so be patient. There is also a NASCAR chat going on the whole time. Just click on it too!! | |

Posted: 8/28/2007 10:06:40 AM | Good to see you back MagE , RSW that`s alot of commercials ,I`m lucky to have DTV hotpass so during commercial I just go into driver channel ,this will be ESPN last broadcast this year after Cali race the next race will be on ABC ,looks like the top five are all but locked for the chase my guy Dale Jr needs alot for him to make it he`s been driving so good but so have others but anything can happen the #2 could crash or something , it is good to see Bobby Labonte finish well and be in top 20 in driver points,
I know some did`nt like the Bristol race but I liked that they were`nt just able to run on the bottom good to see guys pass on the outside and not just use the bump and run but there were some bumping and moving guys Harvick moved JPM out of his way a few times.
California is one of those tracks where they get all spread out I just hope Dale Jr and Truex Jr have good finishes and no blown engines. | |
