| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 8/30/2007 9:06:26 PM | I see wednesday JGR will announce the deal with Toyota ,that leaves DEI ,RCR ,HMS and few smaller teams with Chevy must of been a good deal for JGR to switch over to Toyota for next year, two more races for the cut off for the chase I hope Jr does well, would be nice for him to pull off a win,I hope Jr engine does`nt go on him . Smoke is signed with JGR through 09 and Denny through 2010 . I think the chase will end off between Smoke , JG, JJ , they are the stronger ones along with the #11 Denny has been running good just does`nt have the wins to show. | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 8/31/2007 6:49:20 PM | Isn't Tony under contract with Chevy though?
But if it's to be Toyota...oh well, He'll still be my main man and in the chase
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 8/31/2007 7:18:46 PM | Grandma almost fell out of her rocking chair when she heard the news
I realize Toyota is just starting out, but Chevy's recond is pretty darn good. Maybe JGR figures with good drivers, the car doesn't matter.
Will the same drivers be in the chase behind the wheel of a toyota?
hmmm, could get interesting

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 8/31/2007 7:53:59 PM | Joe Gibbs is a pretty smart cookie. I don't think that money alone would sway him to go Toyota if he did not think that his cars would be better. I wish we could see the entire contract. I am sure that there is something in there that would turn on some light bulbs to shed some light on the subject. I am real disappointed in the new Bristol configuration. It is tamed down too much and really has made the racing less exciting. The bumping and paint rubbing was really held to a minimum. I am hoping that it was because it was all new and once the track gets some age... it may get them back into the old ways of the real Bristol. | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/1/2007 6:59:43 AM | California is here....... and if last week's race wasn't boring enough for you.... what did Space Truckin' call it?...... the most BORINGEST race? lol..... *loved that!
This one should prove to be more exciting! Or the most EXCITINGEST! Hah!
Denny needs a WIN! And he needs it like yesterday!!
Considering he might be driving a jap car next year, he might as well get in some good ole AMERICAN racing before he sits in that rice patty.
The CHASE: Denny, SuperG, JJ, Truex, Smoke, Kenseth, Harvick........ forgettin' anyone?!?!
Let me hear it people!!!

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/3/2007 5:52:27 AM | SPEAKING OF CRASHES: LOCAL SPRINT CAR RACER WAS KILLED LAST EVENING DURING THE 24TH LAP OF A 25 FEATURE. 27YEARS OLD
my heart goes out to the family who witnessed it all
|
| |
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/4/2007 8:54:51 PM | yes 27 is a young age to go, not sure what that situation entailed, but they need to make these race cars provide better protection.
Well Jimmie Johnson pulled through with a win when it really counts. This will put him at the top of the chase provided Gordon doesnt win the last race, before the chase starts.
MagEMaeI .... nice 24.....
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/5/2007 5:18:32 AM | Johnson deserved a win after those blown tire situations, and what else? I forget.
That 55 fire looked horendous. Unbelievable these guys walk away from some of these mishaps and more.
Talking about mishaps: Heard on tv that Rudd is going to do his best to start this week, even with a separated shoulder.
Disapointed in my picture. My blue shirt had "Jeff Gordon 24" in yellow, but you can't see it at all, just the matching pin. boo hoo
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/5/2007 6:19:53 PM | Congrats to JJ for a great win, and Lucky, you oughta be a happy man!! Happy for ya.
I'm really hoping that Truex makes it all the way to the Chase this year. He's been my underdog pick for a while and it's great to see him doing so well....
Especially since my Biffle hasn't been performing on the track like I like..... but he's been a consummate gentleman with his comments and actions off the track.
So the cusp players are still Jr., Biff and who? Help a tired gal out here folks.....
Oh, and Mags, not sure, but I figure no one's real upset about not seeing your 24's. They can see your 38's. ha ha ha.... Couldn't help myself!!!
going to hell.
LET'S GO RACING AT RICHMOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/5/2007 6:44:18 PM | How Dale Jr. can make the Chase: #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. still has a shot to qualify for the Chase for the Nextel Cup. A longshot, granted. “I want [our fans and sponsors] to know that no matter what, me and the team are giving everything we got,” Earnhardt said. “We're not going to lose focus or give up or pack it in.” Earnhardt is 13th in series points coming into Saturday night’s Chevy Rock & Roll 400, 128 behind 12th-place #29-Kevin Harvick. The top eight drivers in the current points have clinched Chase spots. Drivers in ninth and 10th place must only start on Saturday night to clinch. The lowest Earnhardt can finish at Richmond is fifth to still have a chance at making the Chase. The two caveats to that scenario: He must also lead the most laps and Harvick has to finish 43rd. He can also finish fourth and lead one lap, or finish third and lead no laps and still qualify – as long as Harvick finishes last. On the other end of the spectrum, if Earnhardt wins Saturday night and leads the most laps, he’ll clinch a spot if Harvick finishes 33rd or worse OR if Kurt Busch finishes 37th or worse. If Earnhardt wins but doesn’t lead the most laps, he’ll need a Harvick finish of 34th or lower OR a Busch finish of 39th or lower.(NASCAR PR)(9-5-2007)

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/5/2007 7:19:49 PM | rswscion....thats going to be tough for Jr....i hope it works out for him.
Bullie ...i am real happy for JJ.......
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/5/2007 7:28:03 PM | Well, the thing about racing is you never know who will crash, and how hard he will crash.....but, yeah.....not looking good there | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/6/2007 5:28:37 AM | This won't make me popular, but I think Harvick deserves it more this year. He's proven his abilities more so than Jr. has over the season.
Yeah, there's a chance in hell, but I don't see it happening.
Would I rather see him than Kev? Yeah, but that's only for sentimental reasons. It'll be the last time he'll be in the #8 car for the Race Before the Chase.... but Harvick has been a more exciting driver for sure.
Thanks RSW, for the play by play darlin'!
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/6/2007 6:03:50 AM | Agree with bullie totally Even though Harvick drives like most womens moods(up and down), maybe he refilled his Happy pills and can pull off a decent finish this year Don't see many Kenseth fans in any of these threads, but I think he'll step it up a bit, and surprise us all | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/6/2007 6:54:00 AM | Geeeeze Us, pal!!! DO NOT say that stuff on here for me to read before I finish my coffee
There is a reason there aren't any K....(ugh can't say it) fans on here
Of course, I'm a 24 fan-kinda goes with the territory
On a brighter note: Guess who is the centerfold for Oct's NASCAR Illustrated? BOBBY HOT!!! for an older guy
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/6/2007 7:49:43 AM | Most chicks like jeffy cause of his girly voice, guess you can relate more with him
I think it's pretty cool when I see women that don't follow the girly jeffy trend , than I know that their into racing, not just the driver who depends on their sponsers to win races.
Of course, I'm a 17 fan-kinda goes with the territory
On a brighter note: Next race should be interesting with COT again, may the best MAN win
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/6/2007 9:26:45 AM | Well here's one girl that's not a Gordon follower (still luv ya Mag) This weekend should be pretty interesting, I hope Smoke wins of course, but part of me hopes Jr can make it, I kinda feel sorry for him...................Oh I'm a Toyota person now | |
