| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/10/2005 11:50:08 AM | Tinman~~Thank you for the concern! That means a lot! I agree with you on your summary of Johnson and Gordon but I also agree with Ms Kitty...he's a good driver. But as far as his owning up to the wrongs that he does....he simply can't do it. It's NEVER his fault and the same goes for Gordon. They do whine and cry whenever someone does the same to them. Johnson did eventually take the blame for Talledaga but in my book it was to late! Yes~~they both can drive or they wouldn't be where they are today but neither one of them are good sportsman! RaceChik20 | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/10/2005 12:19:53 PM | While the "Young Guns" are great to look at, sdtill would LOVE an old schooler to win, especially my guy, Rusty!
I am sure with all the old guys retiring ton the truck series it will become fun to watch the trucks race!!!
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/10/2005 12:26:08 PM | Sis~~yep~ the truck series will be more interesting and appealing. Also with Rusty and Martin they are bringing their sons into racing now so it's going to be interesting to see how well they do. Like father like son?? We'll have to wait and see! RaceChik20 | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/10/2005 8:03:39 PM | I like Johnson....as for his not owning up..yes he did..he made a public apology for last week..he even went as far as calling some of the drivers involved in the wreck and telling them he was sorry...people may not want to admit it but he is a class act. Stewart even said Jimmie shouldnt let things like that bother him...it happens to all of them...but I guess hes got a conscience. | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/10/2005 10:00:47 PM | Your right Jimmie did call drivers involved in the Accident. He called Waltrip and left a message on his answering machine. He should apologize to Waltrip. Waltrip went for a wild ride being flipped around in his car but did he apologize to Jr. who is the one he originally blamed. He didn't mention him at all in his list of people he apologized too.
I agree accidents like this happen all the time but Jimmie caused a major accident at the track last year too and he took out a lot of good drivers last year too. You would think he would learn how to draft better so that he would stop causing what Nascar calls the "BIG ONE". He has caused 2 "BIG ONES" in the last twelve months......
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/11/2005 4:30:43 AM | ~Alarm ~~you're exactly right! ~Brighteyes~~~ And Like I said in an earlier post...Johnson did own up to it but it was too late in my book! He did it last year and again this year~~do we see a trend here?? RaceChik20 | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/11/2005 8:13:34 AM | RaceChik ~ No trends on Johnson... really not. Just what you get at restrictor plate racing! When you have 30+ cars going 200+ mph at 6" apart, you are going to have crashes and bad ones. Sure Jimmy couldve/shouldve dragged his brake pedal there, but Earnhardt was already at his back door... so it was what it was, a chain reaction. Seriously, at those speeds with the cars as aerodynamic as they are, you can reach out with one finger and push another car around to spin... hence you get to see guys like Waltrip and Riggs fly through the air! And hence Nascar/Cashcar wont change the rules. I hate restrictors. Those cars are meant to race, thats why they are called race cars. Give the control back to the teams and drivers. See who has the biggest nuggets of them all.... King Richard could still kick 90% of these young guns butts.
But fans pay a LOT of money to see the "big one" and they are never disappointed. It will happen. Johnson owned up to it, but like even Tony said... forget it, it was racing. No one got hurt, thankfully... move on.
Just wish Johnson wouldnt stand there whining about it after the incident. Just say no comment till he views the tapes... cause trust me, when a wreck happens, they are not looking around for fault... they are concerned with staying alive.
Oh well... again, Fat men shouldnt stay on a soap box for too long... LOL

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/11/2005 8:24:05 AM | The truck series has been the best series around for several years now. Also some of the local late model and modified series associated with Cashcar. As for the top seeries i sum it up this way
N Nobodyv A Ain't S Saying C Crap A About R Racing.
Keep it in

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/11/2005 9:08:50 AM | HighGear~~Hilarious! ~~Sinjia~~well I think Johnson is a whiner and like I said before he owned up to it but to late in my book. And don't you think that over the next few seasons we are going to see more policing of the bump draft? I do and I think that for safety sake it's a good idea but it is going to make Nascar more boring. But it's kind of a catch 22.....safety vs. fan loyalty, It all will boil down to the money side of the issue though in my opinion. That's the way Nascar has been turning to and it continues on a downward spiral. ~~~~So here's one for you......What is your opinion on the "Lucky Dog" rule? ~ I personally think it sucks. If you lose it you should have to earn it back. How can this be fair to the others that have lost a lap or 2 and have to earn theirs back? Just seems like an incredibly stupid rule to me!!! Take Care! RaceChik20 | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/11/2005 10:20:15 AM | RaceChik ~ Nascar is ruining all motorsports in the US... just trying to monopolize it all... Look at what just happened in our sprint car world. Petty Enterprizes just bought/produced a new National Sprint Car Series... splitting the World of Outlaws .... Very few saturday night tracks are making it anymore, and God forbid they have an accident at the local track... with lawsuits and neighbors wanting time limits (curfews)... just hard to run a track, especially local Saturday night tracks.
As for the Lucky Dog... throw that out the window... its all about trying to have 40 cars on the same lead lap.... just isnt going to happen... So boom, Lucky Dog. You know my history here hon and know that I believe in racing at its purest forms. If I pass a guy on the track, and even put him a lap down... then by golly, so should the next guy. No way should he get to pass me back under caution of all things!!!! Gesh, who on earth made that one up... well I know that answer...
Good ol Jaws (Darrell Waltrip) said it best one time. Get rid of the restrictors, get rid of the mandatory gears and shocks... just place a spoiler on the car... X amount of inches period. If its 51" ... then all cars is 51" so easy to tech... make it 51 for all cars and lets go racing. No templates for the cars... no molds that they have to fit... just make some simple rules. I love organizations that come along and follow one simple plan... called KISS.... KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID
Oh well... that ol soap box is gettin really weak!!!
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/12/2005 7:08:01 AM | Sinjia~~~ AMEN !!!!! Well said! I agree with you 110% !!!! I cannot stand the whole "Lucky Dog" rule and I'll NEVER agree with it! RaceChik20 | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/12/2005 7:58:41 PM | | Tony Stewart hands down! Although I hope somebody. Anybody slams Robbie Gordon into the wall. | |
|
| |
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/13/2005 9:14:07 AM | | Hey Robbys a good racer when he doesnt have his head up his ass.He needs to to angermanagement classes that Tony.he should of stayed with Childress. | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/13/2005 10:16:34 AM | Red~~Robby needs to stick with dirt racing!! Just kidding....he's a good racer just really tempermental! Yeah~Tony had to do the whole anger management thing but that isn't what got Tony out of his slump and off of his tirades.....Moving back home and being with family and friends got Tony right in the head again! Take Care! RaceChik20 | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/13/2005 10:44:57 AM | | SO we got a Stewart fans in the house gotta show love for my fellow Hoosier.... | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/13/2005 12:40:26 PM | Raider~~Probably the biggest Stewart fan here!!! Good to have more!! Take Care!! RaceChik20
P.S.~~And please tell me the 24 in your username isn't for Gordon!!!
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/13/2005 2:29:07 PM | | Nah Charles Woodson for the raiders wheres 24, I dont have any respect for Gordon as he wants to be a hoosier from indiana but can't be cause hes from Cali where he should stay... Plus he does nothing but cry | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/13/2005 3:38:46 PM | Robbie is too much of a cry baby like Jeff Gordon. I didn't have an opinon of robbie till he made that smart ass comment about not wanting to race in the Indi 500 because of Danica Patrick.
BTW Did you guys here they are trying to put a track in NY?
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/13/2005 3:43:38 PM | They already have one, it's called Watkins glen.
Kenseth will win the Chase, just wait he's coming...at least I hope he does
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/13/2005 7:03:21 PM | | They are talking about putting a track in Long Island. Honestly I think Nascar was better when it was Winston cup. | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/14/2005 11:26:04 AM | Ok ok ok... now we all know ya dont want any harm to come to any driver. They are all doing their best to win. Some just have a little less talent. Robbie's career is best in the desert over the 500 to 1000 mile races in the Baja series. I give him credit as he is one of a kind owner... he owns this team and is doing pretty good considering its a one owner one car team. Last to do anything great that way was Mr Kulwicki.
And for bashing Gordon... his parents are the ones who made the decisions to move to Indiana to get him sprint car experience and exposure. Cant hold that against Jeff. If you had a kid wanting to race, you would do all you could for them. Not sure I'd sell my house and move, but I could give you a full list of parents who have, just so their kid could race.
And as for Stewart, moving home was his best therapy for anger management. Being with his own family and friends away from the rat race in Charlotte. Robbie got frustrated for Mikey's little mistake... but it cost Robbie a whole lot more than it did Mikey... a whole lot more.
So now they are at Lowes this weekend... any guesses as to which teams will be up front. Six out of eight are chasers...
Again... GO MARTIN | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/14/2005 12:06:30 PM | | Jimmy Johnson will win. Jimmy came from off road racing just like Robby.Jimmy mostly ran in the staduim racing and not in the desert. | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/14/2005 3:55:44 PM | Venomous~~Good to see ya back!! How ya been?? Well we'll just have to wait and see on Kenseth but I'm sorry hon' it ain't gonna happen!! But good luck to ya anyway!!
Raider~~I'm so glad that it wasn't for Gordon!!! LOL Yep~~he's a whiner~~Right Sinjia???!!!! LOL
Take Care~ RaceChik20 | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/14/2005 4:03:51 PM | Sinjia~~Are you saying that it was not moving home that has gotten Tony back where he belongs? He even gives the credit to being back home w/ his family and friends!!
Yeah~~Gordon was a transplant and he should be proud of the fact that Indiana has supported him well but you know what??.....He's shuns most of the people from Indy.....he stands up little kids. In my book he should remain on the West Coast!!!
And as for Lowe's......I would say that Johnson will take it as much as it pains me to say. But in no way am I counting Tony out!!! NEVER!!! I still have him as my pick on my Fantasy Team!!!!!
GO SMOKE !!!!!!!!
Ya'll Take Care ......... RaceChik20
