Not a chance.....experience counts....and JJ is an experienced Champion....and Champions dont choke..... Actually, Jimmy is a rookie champion, not an experienced champion. He is certainly as capable as anyone regarding wining this years championship, but he has never had the pressure to repeat. I don't give much merit to the added stress of trying to repeat. I think the only time it may come in to play is if it starts slipping away.
I'm glad to see shrub do well. He has got to be the least favoured being that he's a lame duck. I'd love to see him be poised to win the championship then on the last lap of Homestead, pull over and Denny win it. Just as a final screw you Hendrick.
No way it would happen, but Rick didn't treat Kyle anything like family the way he got rid of him. Everyone had their boners out because Jr will get a chance to win a lot, but no body mentioned shoving Kyle out the back door in the rain. In a dating analogy, Rick is the sleazbag boyfriend that was with a beautiful woman and tossed her aside for another woman with bigger tits, even though they are fake. I like junior and would love nothing better than to see him get a title, but that spoke volumes about the organization.
Good luck to Jr. and Kyle. I think they'll both do better where they'll be next year. I bet Truex won't be at DEI in 09.
So, anyone want to change their pick after race #1? :)

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/18/2007 6:57:59 PM | When you get right down to it, Shrub can out drive Jr anyday................But Jr brings in the fans and the money so Mr Hendricks made sure he got him.
Think I'll keep my same driver for the chase.............GOOOOOOOO SMOKEEEEEE

Yes Jr brings in money , but Mr. Hendrick already has a lot of it and wasnt it Jr's decision where he wanted to go. He spent a lot of time checking out teams and ultimately wanted to go race with the best organization in Nascar.... Hendrick Racing

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/22/2007 7:03:37 PM | I'd love to see Stewart win the cup this year! It would put him 1 step closer to catching Gordon.
I just started looking through the forums and don't know anyone on here yet but, I'm just wondering, do you have any favs for in the NNCS?

Jr is gonna fall like a pile of shit.....He made the worst decision of his life...His head will be so far stuck up his ass in money he'll probably blow up hendricks motors too...Think about it I assume by fall like a pile of shit you mean accumulate more wins next year than he's had in the last three years combined. He will now be in the best equipment in NASCAR and engine reliability will be much less in question.
As far as his head being stuck up his ass, I would argue that you have some pickle up your's about him. Jr is only interested in money if it helps him win a championship. His goal is to win, not to accumulate wealth. He doesn't place financial greed above desire to win a championship and his best opportunity is definitely with Hendrick.
I would love to know what you base your statement on. Is it hatred or jealousy? Do you despise Hendrick or Jr, or both?
To quote you..."think about it." ------- On topic:
Now my three least favourites are 1,2,3. Shrub, 10 points out of first has to go by the three biggest challengers after -25 to Carl, but it's possible. Jimmy was the only one of them that had a decent car yesterday so there is hope. I think Carl wishes the next 8 races were on concrete. :)

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/25/2007 8:15:24 AM | | I'm hoping Truex Jr. can win the cup. Would love to see an underdog win the glory! | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 9/25/2007 4:25:39 PM | | I agree with alot of the drivers,Talladega with the COT will be a race that makes alot of difference.I know its a crapshoot, but everyone who tested there said that it will be a deciding factor. Youre still gonna have the drivers who run well there ,but it is Dega, anything can happen(been there, more than once!!!). | |

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/3/2007 6:25:57 PM | I think it will be between, Smoke, JJ, Jeffie, and maybe Bowyer.................if Smoke don't win it then GOOOOOOOOOO Bowyer | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/3/2007 7:07:56 PM | | Unbelievable . I'm not even sure I paid any attention to him at all last year. Now he is in the Chase-and looking very promising, too | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/3/2007 9:58:31 PM | I'm not a Hendrick fan but Jr. made a great move for himself by making the move next year. I honestly believe that he'll be winning more races and have a better shot at the cup. I was really hoping that he would go to Gibbs but I wasn't aware of the close personal relationship he and Hendrick had. I also know that he and Tony Jr. seem to work well together but, if Jr. doesn't win more than he did at D.E.I. he may need to make some changes there, too. We'll find out soon enough though, won't we? I really do hope that Smoke takes the cup this year. He won his 1st cup the final year that he ran pontiacs and since this is the last year that he'll be in a chevy, I hope they make chevy think twice about losing a championship calibur team. I'm sure, although I'm not happy about them going to Toyota, they'll be the strongest Toyota team on the circuit. I don't want to see another Hendrick driver win the cup but, if anyone of them is going to do it, I hope it's Kyle Busch. I do have to say that Hendrick screwed up by releasing Kyle instead of Casey Mears. Mears still wouldn't have won a race if it wasn't for fuel mileage at Charlotte in the 600.
OK! I'm done spouting off!

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/5/2007 4:51:26 AM | gotta B, I think Jr will be much more successful next year for the simple fact he will be away from the DEI drama. I still feel wheter or not he can be a top 5 driver consistantly in a points chase remains to be seen. | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/5/2007 11:28:57 AM | right now Bowyer has a better shot at it than anyone else besides JJ or JG Read the points..
1 +2 Jimmie Johnson 5506 2 -1 Jeff Gordon 5500 -6 3 +2 Clint Bowyer 5492 -14 4 -2 Tony Stewart 5389 -117

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 10/5/2007 2:44:51 PM | It will be fun, my man down 117 points but....................last year JJ was down 165 and he won so GO SMOKEEEEEEEEE | |
