#88-Earnhardt Jr. lost and engine midway thru the 2nd Wed practice at Daytona International Speedway and the team will change engines, then it was mentioned on SPEED's coverage that all the Hendrick Motorsports cars #24-Gordon, #48-Johnson, Earnhardt and #5-Mears will change engines as there is some sort of lifter problem. #66-Riggs team is changing engines, also uses Hendrick engines and the other teams that run Hendrick engines are checking them out: #09-Marlin, #87-Wallace, #70-Mayfield and #78-Nemechek [not changing engines]. Also #07-Bowyer lost an engine and is changing their engine. confirmed engine changes: #48-Johnson, #5-Mears, #24-Gordon, #66-Riggs, #96-Yeley, #07-Yeley and #88-Earnhardt Jr. that means these drivers have to fall to the rear of the pack before the drop of the green flag for the Gatorade Duel they are running. #84-Allmendinger's team already changed engines over the past weekend. This does NOT effect where they start the Daytona 500. Team are allowed to change engines between the Duels and the Daytona 500.(2-13-2008)
THIS IS THE ENTIRE HENDRICKS RACING TEAM AND OTHER TEAMS USING HENDRICKS MOTORS! Curse you Theresa

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 2/14/2008 5:58:36 AM | I take it that you don't really like Gordon, lol.
Had Jimmie not gone on a tear late last year, Gordon would have had his fifth title. It will be interesting for sure this year. Going into this year, it is not unlikely that Jimmie could win three; but Gordon is going to be hot for sure.

will change engines as there is some sort of lifter problem.
Most of the motores that DEI blew last year were in the valve train........ intake valves. If you look at the NASCAR rules for engines. The heads and valve train (not the cam) are very open as to what they can do??????? Most of all the intake and exhaust ports on the heads....... this is where the can really get down and dirty and try to get just that little bit more H.P. then the next guy........... my 2 cents worth
I could not agree more with you rsw

2PM????!!!! The ACTUAL RACE, or all the pre-race hoopla?
The green flag is sheduled to drop around 2:20 pm I believe. But that could change because we all know how much Nascar likes to fart around....

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 2/16/2008 4:13:02 PM | Denny Hamlin has to start winning races. He can win the title.
Jinx to Hendrick racing GO DENNY GO!! He has to start driving like his rookie year! Last year was too many tries and not enough wins.... And Biffle.... last year seemed like he was on his way out. I hope to see more wins from him this season as well.
And there must be some curse following the engines that Jr. has..... What's up with the blown one during practice a couple days ago???
Count down begins NASCAR freaks. Let's do it!!!

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 2/17/2008 5:47:22 AM | ^^Needs to invest in cable....
The first half of the season, Mag, is on Fox...so whoever your local affiliate is you can catch it there.
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 2/17/2008 6:12:01 AM | FOX isn't one of the stations I can get if I hook up the old owner's left-over cable, that is attached to the original owner's antenna, which will get me ABC,CBS,NBC,andPBS.
However, after all that,I have to figure out how to get the channels from the tv because the remote doesn't work

| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 5/10/2008 5:57:42 AM | Hey Mag- Don't get on the LIL SHRUB even "THE LIL CRYBABY" says he drives like his daddy did.
To answer the thread it will be LIL SHRUB Kyle Busch
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 5/11/2008 7:15:18 AM | Yeah, and he also said, when asked if he was the same off the track,jr said something to the effect that he was NO WAY in the same class as his father when it came to integrity and respect...........hmmmmm......I've noticed he doesn't seem to be very well-liked by race fans and drivers;maybe that is why | |
|
| Nascar Chase - Who will Win Posted: 5/11/2008 7:34:55 AM | I think Kyle Busch is good for the sport. It's good to have a guy that isn't politically correct all the time. He has a bunch of raw talent and can do things with a race car that others just can't do.
Besides I love booing him every chance I get at the race track. Also, I'm sure that Gordon appreciates him because Jeff isn't the target of all the Bud, or Amp cans.
And to answer the question by the OP. I like Carl Edwards to win the Championship, or possibly Jimmie Johnson.
