Jr is 3rd, Jimmie Johnson is 6th and Jeff Gordon is 10th in the point standings.
It doesnt matter if Kyle Busch is winning the most races now. In 2004, Jimmie Johnson won the most races, but lost the chase to Kurt Busch by 8 points. Lets see what happens when the chase starts. | |

manwhore, I agree.... and you KNOW how I hate to agree with your statement....
I am SO not a Shrub fan..... but he's proving himself to be a force on the tracks.
I see Biffle doing well, but he needs a new team to be great.
Edwards is only as good as his next steroid shot.
Super G is sleeping this season.
Jr. is a bridesmaid, never a bride.
What's the chance of getting rid of the GOODYEAR tires and using something that won't
tear and shred underneath them??? Makes me nuts.... $$$ talks........ | |

This is turning out to be a better season then I had thought. There are so many that have a good chance to be in the chase and to win the cup this year. Don't really have a fav driver. Just like watching good racing. But I am a FORD fan.

win just on merit and that alone, it's him. But he's not racing like Edwards or Shrub or even
the Elder Bush tree.....

Kyle...the little rat .....has the momentum right now but things can change once we get into the Chase. The teams are All working hard to make up for their short-comings so-far. I think that Carl, Jr. and Mark Martin all have a shot at the title. Hamlin could but I just don't think that the stability is there to win enough. | |

Hammie was such a force the last couple of years... working his way up.... but things are just
not falling into place for him this season. Seems to me he's not used to the new cars and is
back to Rookie status.... makes me crazy.

Posted: 6/8/2008 8:05:37 PM | Well, I'm on the Kyle Busch bandwagon. The kid's 'driven' this year (pun intended) -- you can see it in his eyes. On Friday night when he drove the truck, after going through the field twice and eventually coming in second, he called his truck a piece of crap in the post-race interview. That's a man that's driven. And taking himself out of the Pocono race today was just aggressive driving (on his part) -- something that championship winners usually do a lot of. He's not winning any popularity contests, especially doing to Junior what Junior did to him during the Chase last year (remember that?), but he's going to win the Cup this year -- and probably place top 3 in the trucks, as well.
Just my opinion ...

But yes it is nice to know I'm not the "only chick watches Nascar!! & dynamite does come in small packages, so I tell others when because I'm petite & aren't bulging with muscles! Well Jeff Gordon may be small & has had some bad luck as of now this year, but it's not over yet, .....Yea, he held 1st in points most of last year till the last month or so, he can still get there thius 6year though, he's not that far down on the points tatum pole!! Hey this year really though as long as a Hendrix motors teamate wins..well hooray!! Even Earnhart Jre, this year had the sense to get on the right team! If anyone on their team wins Jeff wins. Hew owns part of Hendrix motors & all of Johnsons car!! So anyways that's my thoughts for now...Would love to hear back fdrom you though! Don't have to agree on who we want to win.. Posted: 6/9/2008 2:23:45 AM | I'm not really a Denny Hamlin fan, but a few races ago when he led in first place vmost of the race & then had that flat tire just laps before the finish, I felt bad for him! So Actually in all fairness, If Hendrix motors team doesn't get thier sh** together soon, well..Nascar does owe Hamlin a win I think. Was just sooo sad to see him come sooo close to wining, & having held the lead for so long. Well That's just my opinion though! Still am hoping Gordon either gets going or Jr or Johmson if not. They're the only ones out of the 4 on that team this year doing decent! Don't know...Panama today I'm sure didn''t help, but at least Jr & Johnson placed in top 10, so got some points, & Johnson led first awhile & got points! Jr too a bit.... paula1960..  | |

I see it as him patting himself on the back by basically saying I'm so great that I can finish second with a truck that sucks and at the same time throwing his team under the bus for not giving him a truck capable of winning. And, also if you're another driver and listen to that it makes you think that this guy just thinks his **** don't stink, which is the way he acts. And, while I'm on my Busch rant, why it ok for him to totally crash Johnny Benson when there was no way to make a pass but it isn't ok for Steven Wallace to give him a tap and move him up the track and out of the grove. I also had to laugh about the "if you mess with the bull your gonna get the horns". Sorry you little punk ***, but just because you drive like a bull in a china shop running into anyone thats in your way doesn't mean your a bull outside the racecar. I noticed he confronted Wallace while he was still in the car, had he waited until Wallace was out of it, he would have gotten more than his head shook on top of that pencil neck.
Oh and by the way..... look out for Kasey Kahne, he's running like he did in '06 | |

Posted: 6/9/2008 7:57:59 PM | Heyy, don't get me wrong ... I didn't say I liked Kyle Busch. I just responded to the thread title: "Who will win the Nascar Chase". And I'm on the Shrub band-wagon. He's driving 'possessed', making moves on the track that others aren't doing. Yepp, he screws up, but you're gonna do that when you drive with that much fire in your eye. And bashing his crew after coming in second in last weekend's truck race (an dumb thing to do, really) won't make him any friends anywhere but it just shows how p*ssed he's getting this year with anything but a win. And that's often the type of attitude that wins championships. But just because I think he'll take it all this year doesn't mean that I like it -- or like him. My fave driver didn't even make the Sprint show this year -- maybe next year.
