| What are your pet peeves......
Posted: 6/9/2008 12:07:22 AM | One of mine happened today. A woman with a small boy was walking to her car in the parking lot of a very busy Walmart. I'm slowly trying to pass them but the young boy, maybe 3 or 4 years old, keeps jumping out just as he sees my car start to pull beside them (there's lots of room for both of us, but he's way out in the traffic area) while his mother seems to not notice him at all. About the 5 th time he does this, I honk, not a big honk, just a tap honk to get the stupid woman's attention on her son. She yells at him so he turns to face my car as he runs right in front of it and stops, now I know the parenting here has to be pretty bad for this kid to act this way, does she grab her child, does she fear for his safety, does she think his behavior should be taken into check, oh hell no, she looks at me and says, God old lady!
Since it's illegal to shoot stupid people, I just flipped her the bird (something I rarely do as it makes me look as stupid as them) and finally get around her and her brat while she stares, slacked jawed, wondering what my problem is. My pet peeve is I hate really stupid people. | |

#3 Fussers... heh you know the people that only start to get their money out and after every item has been rung in count it out then decide to write a check instead (even though they've been in line doing nothing for 10 min) and then take 15 minutes to pull out of the parking space you are waiting for. | |

Posted: 6/11/2008 12:29:05 PM | I'm a cashier, and by far my biggest pet peeve is people who take money out of their shoes and hand it to me. It is the nastiest thing in the world. I don't want to touch their foot sweat any more then they want to touch mine.
And the people who don't watch their kids. Not so much that they are trashing my store, but parents don't realize how quickly their kid can be snatched and that all it takes is to take your eyes off them for 1 second and they are gone. I don't want that to happen to anyone. | |

Posted: 6/15/2008 11:46:43 AM | It scares me when kids aren't being watched--there are too many crazies out there who are out there to hurt kids. I would like to see more parents keep a close eye on their kids--kids are our future and deserve our best care. I oftentimes ask a child who appears to be alone to tell me where his parents are so that I can make sure the parents know where the child is. Many times a parent would thank me for making sure the kids stay with them after I made sure the kid wasn't alone. Kids should NEVER be left alone.
I agree with musicfan. That is very rude to blow off someone in that manner. | |
