People either will or won't answer mails...Period...and no matter how much belly aching you do that's just not going to change. Lots of people don't even visit POF daily...Some actually put up a profile and NEVER come back (it's this way on many dating sites)...Just GET OVER it and move on to the next fish....Plenty of Fish...There are plenty of fish!!!!...Stop dwelling on the ones that are not keepers already....GAH!
Yes, granted your chances might be improved by having a decent photo posted. They might not....I don't have a photo and still get plenty of mail...Which I answer 99 percent of the time btw....

Some fun, nice people, but there is no chat, only forems and again, most do not respond. We are just spoiled and picky, picky, picky!!!!! Divorce has increased by 33 % in 10 years, relating to online chats, dating services and community forems. So, on the flip side of "NO RESPONSE" there are those that are hitting HOME RUN's!!!! | |

Posted: 9/6/2006 11:55:18 AM | | melusine.....babe..... with the ratio of replieZ to messages sent...men don't have the time to read profiles all nite long...it takes a LONG time to read 20 or 30 profiles...so what we do is look at pictures to find women we are attracted to THEN we read the profile...many many times I've seen an attractive woman only to skip by because her profile ...we DO read em..(at least I do)...but only after seeing a picture first...having a photo GREATLY improves your reply ratio...it just takes too long reading profiles ...so by not having a photo posted your probably being passed over by many men....maybe "thee" man.. | |

Posted: 9/6/2006 2:32:18 PM | the only time i dont respond is when they dont have a picture, and most of the time i ask them for a picture and then never a response. maybe with all the few responses we get back no matter what the e-mails (except for the horny little **stards that dont have anything better to do but make smart dirty comments to women) even the most secure men would feel butt ugly at the way they're treated. Im very nice in sending e-mails, I dont send sexual harrasment shit, and its like 5 minutes later you check your messages sent and your e-mail has been deleted. and I know it shows their true colors to just ignore someone, or some people are too "busy" but cant they at least be human enough to say hey your not my type or im not interested?  | |

I simply choose not to post mine here....I highly doubt that I am missing THE one by not doing so.....and if I am wrong about that...then I have no one to blame other than myself....
I am sorry that some of you have ran into such rude people online...But, you can look at it this way...If they are like that here? Imagine what they'd be like irl....Turn it into a positive rather than dwelling on the negative...

Maybe you cant get them to reply because of the way you speak about them??? Just a thought.... I personally was offended by your posting. If you havent noticed yet, It's not just BBW's that arent replying and by implying such you sound as if BBW's are some "special species" that are different from any other person.
Well let me tell you this Mr. Rocky, I am a woman just like any other, I put my pants on the same way as anybody else. The only difference is MY hourglass figure Is just bigger then the average. For you to imply that men dont like us.........some do,some dont, just as any other size, gender. race, hair color, etc.... Its all preference.
I personally dont sit back and wonder why men dont like me. It hasnt been an issue and maybe because that is, I know I am a beautiful woman, inside and out. Maybe the BBW's you are contacting just arent interested in you and dont know what to reply.......You've heard the saying, If you have nothing nice to say, don't say nothing at all.  | |

How else would you personally like to be referred to if not BBW? BBW is pretty standard across the board as is,,,,thin,,average,,a few extra pounds.
I didnt get the feeling that he was being insulting. It may not be an issue for you and congrats cuz you are one of the lucky ones, but there are tons of threads on here about 'Why men dont date larger women' ,,,ect. Tons of threads. | |

Guess what my biggest problem with Rockys posting was, The topic was people not replying in general and he has to go and bring the BBW thing into it along with the comment how "They wonder why men dont want them" (no not all BBW's feell this way) .........Just made me feel like he was implying BBW's were different then others who maynot be as small as others.
Yes I have read some of the threads and finally quit cause I got tired of all the boo hooing about it.....I personally think that people need to except themselves for who and what they are. They need to appreciate themselfs. You know, if they cant, how are others suppose to.
As far as reply to emails recieved. I reply to all even if it is a Thank you for responding. I have gotton Many emails back that werent to nice because I was interested.

1. They could be busy: it's possible they haven't checked their email in a while or if they're lazy (like I am sometimes) maybe they're waiting to get around to it.
2. They're not interested: We're all adults here and we all found out around the 3rd grade that not everyone who we're attracted to is attracted to us. That's not your fault. Think of the name of this site... Plenty of Fish!!!!!!
3. Some people just don't like to IM, I know lots of people who find it annoying when that window pops up in the middle of them doing something, or maybe they have company and can't talk at the moment, or maybe they took a look at the profile and just said "Nope, not for me"
Taking these things personally is a big mistake, if everybody was for everybody, sites like this wouldn't be here, all we'd have to do is walk out the door and the first person you see would be your "Soul Mate" Keep your head up and know in your heart that you're a wonderful person and whoever is not responding, is missing out on a damn good thing. | |
